A/N: the picture above is just how I felt while writing this chapter. Literally. Hope you'll feel exactly the same as me! Love y'all a lot.

June's point of view

As everybody gathered around me to give a loving grouped hug, I was wondering what Michael was doing inside. Was he panicking like crazy, finding a place he could hide? Was he simply waiting for my family to come inside with a huge grin on his face? I had no idea, as I was out, on the porch, feeling like a slice of cheese in a sandwich because of the enormous amount of love my entire family was giving me. Don't get me wrong, it was an amazing feeling to have them all here with me, I couldn't have been happier, but my mind was kind of... Elsewhere, if you know what I mean.

"Okay, okay," I laughed. "Let me go now, before I can't breathe anymore," I jokingly said, but I really meant it, actually.

"We missed you so much!" little Timmy said, and I looked down at him before kissing the top of his head.

"I missed you all too," I sincerely said. "But, would you wait a minute here? I don't want you to see the um... the mess I did in there. Let me clean up a few things, I'll be fast!" I quickly said, and shut the door in their stunned and confused face.

At the second the door slammed, I ran to Michael, who was standing next to the couch, waiting patientely on me. He didn't seem nervous or anything to me: he was just his normal calm self. He was the exact opposite of me, as a matter of fact.

"The mess you did, huh? Well, I'm a living mess then, because you did me," Michael jokingly said, but even though it was funny, I didn't laugh because I was kind of in a rush, you know?

"Shit, shit, shit, shit," I said, and took his hand in mine, dragging him in my bedroom. "Michael, please stay here for a couple of minutes. Please."

"Uh, oh-kay," I heard him say, but I was already gone.

I returned in the living room, threw away Pit and I's two beer bottles from earlier and picked my clothes from the floor, along with Michael's fedora and aviators, and ran back to my bedroom where I threw all of those things on the bed in a rush.

"Hey, calm down," Michael laughed at me, and slowly approched me, like I was some kind of wild animal. "We didn't do anything wrong. I'm no criminal, now, am I?"

"I know," I sighed, wipping my sweaty forehead with the back of my hand. "I just don't want to throw you on them like this. I want to have the time to explain myself."

"I understand," he gently said, caressing my cheek with his thumb. "I'll stay here as long as you want me to," he told me, the sweetest way possible, with the most bright smile on his lips. "Now go open that door to them, they'll start to ask questions otherwise."

"Damn I love you," I truthfully said, gave him a little peck on the lips, and closed my bedroom's door behind me.

Next, I ran back to the front door, adjusting my messy hair a little, and opened the door again with a wide grin.

"Sorry about that," I said, a little short of breath. "It's just that um, there was still some things that weren't in order, and I wanted the place to be perfect for you guys," I nervously said, the same smile on my face.

"You smile too much. What's up with you, girl?" David asked me, chuckling.

"What?" I asked, and left that stupid exaggerated smile from my face. "I'm just really happy to see you guys! Now please, come on in!"

David and Jer gave me both a skeptical smile, and walked past me, frowning in confusion. They knew something was up with me. They just knew it, because they're my best friends, and they lived with me for two years. I can't lie to them, or can I even think about hiding something from them.
