Avery

The continuous sound of beeping rang throughout my ears.

A loud groan escaped my lips in annoyance.

I slipped my arm out of my comforter and reached over to shut my alarm off.

My hand fumbled as I tried to look for my phone, but all I could touch was the wooden sensation of my bedside table.

Beep beep beep...

I sat up, and looked around for my phone.

Angrily, I climbed out of bed.

A cool breeze blew against my bare legs, causing goosebumps to rise from my skin.

My phone laid on the floor beside my bed. I could feel the slight vibration tickle my feet, as it was only centimetres away from me.

My ringtone went off, indicating that someone had texted me. It was probably Noah.

I bent down and picked up my alarming phone.

I turned off my alarm, and a message appeared on my screen.

I slid it open and read it.

From: 555-555-2786
(Fake number FYI^)

Turn off your alarm! It's annoying!

I looked over to see that my window was open.

I walked over towards the window and peered through the glass.

Cameron stood in his bedroom staring directly at me through his own window.
His screen was open as well.

His brown hair was messily scattered across his forehead, and he wasn't wearing a shirt.

"Thank you!" He says, rubbing his sleepy eyes.

"How did you get my number?" I asked.

"Noah". Was all he said.

Before I could say anything else, Cameron grasped the window holder, and pulled it closed.

I stood standing, staring at his empty window.

I peered at my phone, It was 6:00 in the morning, and school started at 7:30. I guess I had to start getting ready.

I walked out of my room, and down the carpeted hallway.

Making my way to the bathroom, I could hear the snores of everybody else, sleeping peacefully in their beds.

I pushed open the bathroom door, and walked inside.

As I entered into the room, I immediately came face-to-face with myself in the mirror.

My brown hair was in each and every direction, I had bags under my eyes, and I just looked like a complete zombie. Ugh! Cameron seen me like that.

Maybe a shower would make me feel better.

Without doubt, I stripped out of my clothes, and hopped in the shower.

The cool water made me shiver, but my body got used to it.

I washed my hair, putting shampoo and conditioner in it, and rubbing it all in.
