"I'm going to need you both to part ways," You interrupted, the raven haired gentlemen bickering in the old library paused, their odd colored eyes looked at you with a mix of surprise and sadness. However, you mentally noted the hidden desperateness in your lover's.
"Mr. Michaelis, our guests will be leaving soon. I advice you grab Earl Trancy's coat." Sebastian gave you a curt nod, heading out the door with urgent strides. Shoulder slamming against yours with a fierce momentum, a momentum that would have sent any regular human being toppling over.
"Mr. Faustus, I advise you to leave as well. Your master will be taking his leave shortly."
"[Y/N], please!"
"Now." You stubbornly stated, grazing over a few book titles, fingers skimming a nicely bound red one.
"You said you wanted to tell me something, what was it?" A spiteful glare met his gaze, your eyes holding a steal grudge. "You know I'm a demon, it's only fair I know what you are."
"I haven't the slightest idea-"
"Don't play dumb, I've had my suspicions as to what species you were from the start." A hitch in your throat gave you away, and you furrowed a brow out of sheer confusion.
"What are you that makes you so ashamed to tell anyone-"
"I am NOT ashamed!"
"Scared? Nervous? Angered? It doesn't matter, but please, just tell me what has been bothering you."
"If... I tell you it must remain a secret," He nodded, reaching his hand out to brush away a loose strand of your hair, which you immediately swatted away.
"Just because I tell you, does not mean I forgive you." With a small shaky sigh of loss he nodded, face remaining rather monotone, lip trembling just in the slightest, however.
"I'm a grim reaper." You announced, brushing back your bangs, the signature green eyes glistening with a false bravery.
"Now I understand," Claude admitted, an angered chuckle passing his lips. "It was never fear you felt, but a deep loathing. Right? A spiteful burning to the core?" He shook his head sneering angrily, a tear slipping from his eye which he brushed with such haste you could hardly tell it had happened. "You horrid creatures always were obsessed with the idea you could conquer us. But you're wrong, I'll tell the world what you are. Pathetic rats! And after that no one will fall for your damnation of a game! How do you like that, murderer?!" Claude seethed, the harsh words nothing more than a façade.
It burned. The back of your hand, the harsh red imprints of your knuckles on Claude's pale skin made you queasy. War seemed inevitable between your sides of life, the battle between reapers and demons a never ending struggle. You hated war, death, blood, the bruising of someone's skin could even make you nauseous at times. But you couldn't stand the animalistic instincts wired into every persons' brain. You clasped a hand over your mouth, racing out of the room and into the main floor, an empty ballroom like arrangement.
Feet sliding on the cool marble, tripping over your barely broken into shoes. Bottom lip trembling with a sickening feeling.
I'm gonna be sick! I'm gonna be sick! I'm gonna be sick!
You screamed internally, throwing the heavy front door open and heavily vomiting into the nearest bush. "Stupid!" You growled, slamming your left fist into the thick brick wall, a tiny crack now in place.
"Condemned to eternal death in a fire pit of slime and disgust. That's where they live for years, and now that they're here they decided to fight everyone around them." Your voice cracked, speaking your mind freely. Allowing yourself to rant as much as you desired.
"Miss [Y/N], are you alright?" Finny, the sweet blonde, cooed.
"Yes... I'm fine, thank you."
"The guests are about to leave, I suggest you bid them a farewell and safe journey home."
"Or what?" You questioned rudely.
"Pardon?"
"Or what? Will a demon steal my soul? Oh, wouldn't that be rich." You grumbled, pulling your hair down from its messy bun.
"Have I done something wrong, Miss?"
"No, Finny. My apologies for being so crass. I'll be going now." You excused yourself, fingers finding their way intertwined with each other as your shoes clacked up the paved path.
"Good bye, Ciel Phantomhive!" Alois shouted, his snarky smile meeting your face.
"And goodbye, Miss." He chuckled, passing you a wink.
"And to you as well, Earl Trancy."
"Goodbye, Green eyes." Claude spit, throwing you a sarcastic wink.
"You have my thanks, Spider."
