"Yo what the fuck? That's my shit!" Za darts his eyes away from his phone to me when I grab the remote and shut the music off in the game room. "How you gonna go and..."
"Where's Twist?" I interrupt. "I just saw him a minute ago, where'd he go?"
"Didn't know it was my turn to watch him." He shrugs, turning his attention back to his phone "Check his room or some shit."
"Here." I toss the remote back and turn to find him as the music blares back to life behind me.
Heading up the stairs I find Tuts perched on the landing "Hey pretty girl...where that fool at?"
She circles my legs in response, asking to be picked up "Come here..." I bend down and settle into her arms, scratching under her chin, jingling the tiny bell on her collar in the process "You gonna help me look?" She purrs and scans the area over my shoulder, inspecting the situation.
"Twist!" I yell loudly to be heard over Za's music and she gives me a little growl of protest "Ahh shut up.." I laugh "Quit runnin' your mouth."
He pokes his head out of his bedroom door when I'm in the hallway with a cock of his chin "What?"
"What?" I ask, pushing passed him into his room after depositing Tuts down on the floor "The fuck was that shit bro?"
He rolls his eyes and flops back down on his bed "Don't be such a bitch...ain't nothin'."
I shake my head "You kidding me with this right now?"
"You laid it down though son..." he laughs as if he's surprised "Girl was losin' it man...didn't know a white boy had it in him like all that."
"It's Bobbi." I snap, clenching my jaw "Remember Bobbi? Not 'a girl' alright? She isn't some bitch in the club that you can just eye fuck whenever you want. You got that shit?"
He waves me off "Why you gotta get all worked up 'n shit? I don't want yo girl. Come on now, who ain't gonna look though when you see shit goin' down? She fine."
"Yeah, she is. She's also fuckin' mean when she wants to be. You better be glad that I'm up here, you're lucky it was me that saw your dumb ass because if it was her, your ass'd be out the fuckin' door already. But if I catch you pullin' your shit again that's where you'll be anyway."
"Man fuck that shit..." he smiles "I done told you, it ain't nothin'. Calm your ass."
I step forward a little so he knows I'm serious "I'm tellin' you right fuckin' now Twist...you my boy, but if I see you so much as look at her sideways again I'll beat your ass and that's a promise. Back the fuck up."
"You act dumb as hell when it comes to that girl yo, go pop a molly and chill...oh wait, can't do that!" he busts up laughing.
I narrow my eyes "Yeah real fuckin' cute dick. I mean it though Twist...I ain't even playin' right now."
He grabs the beer sitting on his nightstand and takes a drink casually "Yeah fine...whatever you say boss man."
"That's what I thought." I nod "You got her?" I cast my eyes in Tut's direction where she's curled up at the foot of his bed.
"Yeah. She good."
I leave the room without bothering to close his door just to irritate him a little and head back down to get B but when I pass the game room Za yells out "If you lookin' for Bobbi, she went upstairs."
"Alright then, I'm going to bed."
He gives me a lazy salute and turns the music down without being asked.
