"Arrange to have this bed taken out..." I instruct Mikey while pointing at the king sized sleigh that dominates the extra bedroom closest to mine "And that dresser too...I want everything to match her crib."

"Alright..." he nods "Bed and dresser gone. Check."

I think it over a little more "You know what? Just get rid of it all this shit...we just start over completely."

"Alright." He repeats "When are we doing this? You gonna go out and shop or write up a list and have one of us do it?"

"I'm gonna shop..." I reply, eyeing the amount of space in the closet, I want plenty of room for her closet to be stocked as well as mine is "I want to pick everything out."

"Online then?" he questions.

I shake my head and pull my cell out of my pocket "No...that takes too long. I want to do it today, and I want extra security...you and Hugo and Star. Make it happen."

"Why three?" he asks.

"Lyric." I answer as if it's a stupid question because it is...I'm not about to go wandering the streets with my baby daughter without amping things up security wise. Better safe than sorry.

"Yeah, makes sense..." he agrees, heading off down the hall while I head back to my room in the opposite direction.

She answers on the second ring "Hi..."

"Hey b..." I smile like an idiot at the sound of her voice "Whatcha doin' girl?"

"Just got out of the shower, Lyric's napping...you?"

"I was just talking to Mikey...I'm having the guest room closest to our..." I stop short and correct myself "Closet to my room, cleared out for a nursery."

"Oh are you really?" she sounds genuinely happy with the idea.

"Yeah, of course I am...here's the thing though, I don't know what all I should buy. I mean, a crib obviously, one of those tables you change them on...whatever they're called..."

Her laughter interrupts me "That table that you change them on...you mean a changing table J...you make it harder than it needs to be."

"Alright smart mouth," I laugh with her "See? You know this stuff better than I do. Which is why I was hoping my two favorite girls could come with me today to shop? Maybe a little lunch?"

"Hmm..." she sighs, pretending to think it over "Well, I'm pretty sure Lyric is free but who's the second favorite girl, how am I supposed to know what her schedule is today."

"Very funny b..." I answer in a jokingly flat tone "You got anything goin' on today? Will you come with me?"

"Well actually I have a doctors appointment in like an hour...but afterward..."

"Why do you have a doctors appointment?" I demand a little more urgently than I'd intended. I worry about her.

"Oh settle down..." she sighs but I can hear the smile in her voice "Just have to get my shot."

"Shot for what?" I ask, totally confused.

"Depo, it's a birth control shot nerd...every three months, had my first a few weeks after Lyric was born, I'm due for another."

"Okay then...so what about after?"

"Yeah that works..." she agrees in an upbeat tone that I'd like to think means she's happy about spending the day with me "You know, speaking of which...I was going to have betty stay with her while I was gone but if you're not busy and you want to..."
