"MELODY!" I heard my name being called as I snapped out of my deep thinking.
"Coming!" I yelled back as I walked downstairs to my parents. I walked into the kitchen and saw mum, dad and little brother.
"We're going out to the shops to get you things for your birthday party are you going to be ok staying home?" Dad asked.
"Yeah, I'll be perfectly fine here by myself dad" I replied with a smile and dad grabbed the car keys off the kitchen counter.
"Okay we'll see you when we get home honey" dad said and I smiled. They all walked out the door.
"See you guys when you get home." I said and I turned around and heard the front door shut. I went to the fridge and grabbed out an apple. I walked back up to my room and sat on my bed. I opened my laptop and went to click on skype but before I clicked on it my best friend called. I answered him.
"What's up buttercup?" He asked leaning back in his computer chair.
"Not much actually, my parents went out to get supplies for my birthday party" I replied.
"You excited for your birthday party?" He asked.
"Yeah can't wait!" I replied and I took a bite of my apple.
"Oh guess what?" He said suspiciously. He moved closer to the screen so I did the same.
"What is it?" I asked. He smiled.
"Guess who has an exchange student staying with him? This kid" He pointed to himself and spun around once on his chair.
"Haha awesome!" I said excitedly. He smiled. I wonder what this new student looks like...
Nathan's pov:
I was walking down the long hallway at school to my next class with people starring at me from every social group. I am the most popular guy in school and girls fall at my feet left, right and center but im not complaining. Its cool when you know everyone because you know a lot more people than everyone else."Can Nathan Winchester please come to the office immediately" I heard my name being called over the PA system and I spun on my heels which caused a screaching sound on the floor. I began to walk away from my class and started walking to the office. People walked past me and I just kept walking. I looked to see a sign that read office in bold letters. I took a deep breath and walked in to see what I had to face this time. I walked up to the lady that sat at the front desk typing away on the computer, you know sometimes I think they just type random things to make it look like they are working.
