I Need You

Chapter 15

It's been two days since my brothers funeral. Everyday I've been with Nathan either at mine or with him and James at James's place. The others come over a few days but they all comfort me. I found out that Jason and Daisey are dating now and I'm happy for them but it makes me think about what Nathan and I are. Every time they would come over I would watch the cuddle up to each other and kiss and even though they looked cute together it made me question Nathan and I's relationship. I look at Nathan to see James and him laughing. I got off the couch and walked out the back. I laid down on the grass and looked up at the clouds. The wind was blowing my hair lightly when I felt some sit next to me, I looked to see Nathan.

"Hey whatcha doing?" He asked while lying down beside me.

"Cloud watching" I replied looking back at the sky.

"Sounds like fun, can I join?" He asked.

"Sure" I replied. I kept looking at the clouds but out of the corner of my eye I saw him looking up at the sky with his hands behind his head.

"Nathan" I spoke.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"What are we?" I asked still looking at the sky. I saw him look at me but I didn't look at him.

"What do you mean?" He asked resting on his elbow.

"Like us what are we?" I asked turning my head to look at him.

"To be honest I don't know what we are but I know something I would like to be" he replied and I had confusion written all over my face.

"And what would that be?" I asked.

"How about we go on a date first and then you'll find out" he smirked.

"Really?" I smiled.

"Yes now go get ready in comfy clothes and I'll pick you up at 6" he told me while getting up and putting his hands out for me to grab. I sighed and reached out before grabbing his hands he pulled me up and we walked back inside. I said goodbye to everyone and went back to my house. I walked inside and greeted my mum and dad. I walked up to my room and decided to get dressed. I went to have a shower. When I was done I dried myself, wrapped a towel around myself and walked back to my room. I got dressed into ripped skinny jeans and a grey crop top. I slipped on my converse and put my hair in a messy bun. I looked at the time to see it was 5:30 and I walked down to see my parents watching the tv.

"Hey guys I'm going out with Nathan for a bit tonight is that okay?" I asked. The both turned to look at me.

"Yeah just don't stay out to late and if you stay over at James after text us please" mum told me, I nodded.

"Yes mum" I told her. But I soon got a call. I answered it and put it up to my ear.

"Hello" I said

"Hey you ready?" I heard Nathan ask from the other side of the phone which made me smile.

"Is it already 6?" I asked.

"Well it's 5:52 but it's better to be early than late"

"Yeah haha so where are you?"

"Go outside" he told me and I did. I walked out of my house to see him leaning against James's BMW smiling with his phone against his ear. He was in black jeans and a white v-neck top.
