I Need You

Chapter 13

Our lips felt perfect together like two pieces of a puzzle. To my dismay I pulled away for air and we rested our foreheads on each other to catch our breath.

"Wow" was all I could say but Nathan just smile.

"Oi love birds we're going now" James yelled at the both of us. Nathan stood up and put a hand out.

"Shall we?" He asked in a posh accent which made me laugh.

"We shall" I replied taking his hand and getting up off the ground before we walked towards James. He did undo our hands which were laced together and people looked at us. We reached James and said goodbye to everyone and hopped in the car to drive home.

"So how was your first kiss love birds" James asked as I blushed.

"It was amazing" Nathan replied looking at me while smiling.

"Aw so when's the date?" He asked.

"We haven't talked about that yet" Nathan replied which was true I mean James had to come before we talk about anything after the kiss. It wasn't long before we got to my house and I hugged both the boys.

"See you guys at school tomorrow" I said waving at them.

"See ya" they both yelled driving off and I walked inside. I closed the door behind me and walked inside to see my mum.

"Hey" I said as she looked up.

"Hey how are you?" she asked.

"Good and you?" I asked.

"Good did you have fun at James house?" She asked.

"Yeah thanks for letting me go" I replied as she smiled.

"It's okay" she said as I heard someone call my name and I looked to see my little brother running at me as I picked him up and hugged him.

"Hey little man" I said smiling at him.

"Hey" he said.

"What do you want to do?" I asked him.

"Ummm watch woody" he replied smiling.

"Ok let's go watch toy story" I said walking towards the lounge room still holding him. When we or there I chucked him on the couch and he laughed while I put on the movie. I came and sat next to him while the movie played and he rested his head on my lap. I knew every word to this movie because he watches it a lot but it wasn't long before I felt a buzz in my pants and i pulled out my phone to see I had a message from Nathan

Mr. Popular: hey did u have fun today?
Reject: yeah u?
Mr. Popular: yeah so I was wondering if after school tomorrow u wanted to go out for dinner?
Reject: is Mr. Popular asking the reject on a date?
Mr. Popular: haha very funny but yes I am so wats ur answer?
Reject: ummmmmmm yes 😊
Mr. Popular: 😊 yay can't wait
Reject: haha neither

I turned my screen off and smiled as I continued to watch the movie. I was going on a date with Nathan this couldn't be any more better. But just then I felt my brother squeeze on my leg which made me Yelp in pain as I looked down to see him struggling to breath.

"MUM" I screamed and both my parents bolted to me to see my brother having an attack as dad grabbed him off me and ran to the car before racing to the hospital. I sat on the seat in shock and I didn't realise that my mum was trying to grab my attention until she started to shake me.

"Are you ok?" Mum asked as I just looked at her.

"Um yeah, maybe, um I don't know is he going to be okay?" I asked looking at her.

"Yeah he'll be okay" she replied as I nodded my head but then mums phone went off and she held it to her ear. I watched her as her face began to fall and the phone fell from out of her hand.

"What's wrong mum?" I asked looking at her to see her eyes fill up with water as she looked at me.

"We need to go to the hospital" she told me. I nodded and we ran out to the car before we hopped in and drove off. Mum was speeding through other cars it was lucky we didn't get pulled over by the police. It wasn't long until we parked the car and ran to the entrance of the hospital. We ran inside and over to the front desk.

"Chris Winchester" mum told the lady behind the desk.

"Room 243" she told us as we ran to the elevators and down the halls until we saw dad out the front of the room.

"What's wrong?" I asked as mum and dad both hugged each other. We waited outside the room and people walk past us looking at us. We just waited until finally the door opened and out walked the doctors and nurses. The all look sad which made my stomach drop.

"So?" Mum asked holding onto dad.

"I'm so sorry we tried everything we could but he didnt make it" the doctor told us as we all broke down. He was my little brother he was to young to die and had his whole life in front of him.

"You can go in and say your byes" he told us as I just stood there. Mum and dad walked in and I just let the tears fall down my face and onto the floor. I slowly walked inside the room to see his small lifeless body lying there on the hospital bed with mum holding his hand and crying. I walked up next to him and looked at him.

"You will be missed little man and there won't be a day that goes by that you won't be on my mind I love you so much little bro" I crocked out as mum and dad came and gave me a hug. We all cried together.
