"MUM" I yelled and rested my head on her chest to try and find a heartbeat. But nothing there was nothing. I felt my eyes fill up with water as I stood up.
"DAD CALL THE AMBULANCE" I yelled. I hear him grab the the phone and start talking to people when he walked out to see mum just sitting there. Her eyes still open and focused on the tv.
"Their on their way" dad told me. I hugged my mum and cried she can't leave me as well. The tears fell down my face and I clung onto her. The door opened and in ran the paramedics. They took mum away and I was left just with my dad crying.
"Dad we have to go to the hospital" I told him. He nodded and grabbed the keys before we walked out to the car. We both hopped in and dad started the car when his phone buzzed. He answered it and I watched his face drop and the phone fall out of his hands.
"Dad what's wrong?" I asked. He looked at me and I saw tears falling down his face.
"She's gone" he whispered. I shook my head not wanting this to be true. I felt more tears fall down my face.
"No no no no no" I said shaking my head. I opened the car door and ran I just ran. I didn't know where I was going but I just ran. My feet moving and the tears falling down my face. I kept running until I reached a tree and I slid down it and just cried. I cried not caring if people could hear me. I heard footsteps like someone was running when they stopped.
"Hey Melody you okay?" I heard a voice I knew to well. I looked to see Nathan in a white singlet and track pants he looked like he was going for a run. I wrapped my arms around him and buried my face in his chest. He rubbed my back and said soothing words into my ear to try and calm me down but the tears still came.
"S-she's gone" I said looking up at him.
"Who?" He asked wiping my tears.
"My mum" I replied and I cried again. He hugged me again and pulled me closer to him.
"I'm so sorry" he said I didn't say anything I just cried. I think we sat there for hours just hugging while I cried into his chest I don't no how but I soon fell asleep in his arms I think I cried myself to sleep.
