Once I woke up from a long sleep, I got ready for the day. I walked towards my dad at the table and joined him with breakfast. I then placed my dish in the sink and ran out to the barn. I approached Angels stall and grabbed his halter and lead rope. I put on his halter and connected his lead rope, then lead him to the tacking area. I grabbed a curry comb and began getting the dirt and whatever else off his coat. Then I grabbed a brush and brushed the dirt off. Once I finished, I grabbed the saddle pad, the half pad, the girth, then the saddle and placed e'm all on Angels back. I then got his bridle and put it on his head. I walked him to the ring and climbed on.

There were a few jumps but not to many. The jumps weren't to high and they weren't to low. "Mackenzie!" I heard my dad call. "What!" I shouted back so he could hear me. "Your phone is ringing come get it!" "Okay!"

I climbed off of Angel and walked him out of the ring towards my dad. He handed me my phone and right before it stopped ringing I answered it.

Mackenzie- Hello?

Jade- Hey Mack.

Mackenzie- Hey Jade whats up, oh and where were you this morning I couldn't find you?

Jade- I was out riding Jack.

Mackenzie- Where cause i didn't see you in the ring?

Jade- I was out in the town, I rode him to my friends house.

Mackenzie- Oh (laughing) that explains it.

Jade- Yeah (laughing)

Mackenzie- So when are you coming back?

Jade- I'm actually on my way right now so I'll be there in a few. That's why I called to tell you that.

Mackenzie- Oh, well then I'll see you in a few.

Jade- Okay bye

Mackenzie- Bye!

I handed the phone back to my dad and he went back inside while I walked Angel back to the ring. I climbed on and did what I was doing before Jade called.

Right as Angel jumps an obstacle, I hear a voice that calls out to me, "Whats up" causing Angel to spook and me falling off of him. I lay on the ground for a couple of seconds until I was able to get back up. As I look up, I spot a boy standing over me, he looked familier. "Luke?!" I said as I quickly got up. "Yeah" He said smiling. We hugged for a quick second and then began to talk.

"How are you?" I asked. "Good, and you?" "Good" "Not trying to make myself seem rude or anything, but why are you here? And when did you get here?" "Well actually I just moved in across from you, so I just decided to stop by and say hi" "Oh, hi" I said causing the both of us to laugh. " So how's Angel" he questions. "Good, and Arlo?" "Good but he's lonely" "Awe, maybe we could get him and Ross and Sage to see each other again." "He would love that" "Yeah"

We stopped talking for a quick second and looked to the side as Jade and Jack were galloping towards us. Luke stepped out of the way. Jade pulled back on the reins causing Jack to stop.

"Hey," Jade said out of breath. "What's he doing here?" She asked referring to Luke. "I just moved in across the street so I thought I would stop by Mack's house to say hi" "Oh". " Well I'm going to bathe Jack" As Jade said leading Jack to the bathing matts. "Well I should go finish riding Angel" "Okay maybe we could get together sometime with Jade and go to the movies or something" "Yeah that sounds good" "Well nice seeing you again, I'll talk to you later, bye" "bye!" Luke said then walked back to his house.

I called Angel over and climbed onto his back to finish our ride.

An hour later I climbed off of Angel and walked him out of the ring and went to wash the sweat off from underneath the tack. I then walked him to the pasture where Jack stood grazing then let Angel play with Jack. I saw Jade sitting on the fence all alone. I walked over to her and climbed on the fence to sit with her.
The rest of the night we stayed out with the horses until we got tired and lead them to their stalls for them to get some rest and naw on their hay. Jade and I walked inside to get ready for bed. She went to her room and I went to mine, after about 10 to 15 minutes, I drifted off to sleep hoping to wake up to a fresh new day.
