Chapter 14 (The movies)

I woke up and got out of bed thinking about how my day was going to be set. I checked my phone to notice the text messages I got from Luke and Jade. "I'll see you at 12 when the movie starts" A message said. "Crap" I shouted out to myself remembering that I had to go with Jade and Luke to the movies. I ran to my closet and pulled out some comfortable leggings and put on some tan but warm boots, and one of my "equestrian" hoodies. Then did my facial routine.

I then grabbed my phone and ran to Jade's room making sure that she was ready. Once I opened the door, their was no sign off Jade anywhere. I ran out to the barn and saw that Jade was sitting on the fence of the pasture. I ran over to her to make sure that she was okay.

M- Hey Jade,...you okay?

J-Yeah I'm just thinking about my mom in the war

J-What if she isn't alive Mack, what if she can't be breathing the same air as us?

M-Your mom is a strong and very brave woman, I don't think anything could possibly hurt her

J-You think so

M-I know so

We got down from the fence and went to the barn. I got Angel's halter on and clipped his lead rope to his halter and led him to the pasture so he could run around. Jade did the same with Jack, we then hung the lead ropes on the handle and got into my dads truck and drove off into the town. As we arrived I saw Luke waiting on a bench. Jade and I climbed out and closed the door behind us. My dad drove off back to the ranch to do some barn work.

We said hi to Luke and walked to our movie.

Half way into the movie, I feel Luke's hand brush against mine. I thought that he would move it but after about 5 minutes its still in the same spot it was before. His fingers began to touch mine. I slowly move my hand away from the awkward session that I just experienced.

The movie was over about an hour later and we all went to get ice cream. We sat at a table all together in a silence. "So how was the movie" Jade asks. "Good" We both say. We then went to a tack store and looked around at the english tack. I noticed a really nice bridle but it was $169.99 basically $170. Jade pointed out this really nice blanket that was about $50 to $80. I would say its a pretty good deal considering the fact that the design is extremely stylish.

We finished looking around then we walked out of the store. I called my dad to come pick us up since it was a long walk from the town to the country side.

After about 30 minutes 0f waiting my dad arrived and we all 3 climbed into the truck.
||Skipping the drive||

Once we arrived at the ranch, we climbed out then went inside to put our stuff on the couch. Luke went home to change into his riding clothes and tack up Arlo then bring him over. Jade and I did the same thing, we got dressed and put our riding boots on.

We walked over to the pasture, we grabbed the horses lead ropes and called them over. Angel came cantering over to me. I clipped his lead rope to his halter and gave him a kiss on the nose. I led him to the grooming area and groomed him then put his tack on. I noticed that Luke was here and so was Arlo. I led Angel over to Luke while Jade went to tack up Jack.

"So you want Arlo to play with Ross and Sage?" I asked. "That would be fine, but only if you want to" "Thats fine". I gave him Angel's rein and walked over to Ross's stall then Sage's stall. I got their halters on then the lead rope and led them to where Luke stood holding Angel and Arlo. I raan back to Thunder's stall and gave him a pet on the neck. I got his halter and lead rope on then climbed on his back. I hollered out for Jade to open the gate, she did as I asked and Thunder galloped past them with me on his back.

He seemed so happy. I laughed then took off his lead rope and let him run, I did the same with Ross and Sage then Luke, Jade and I took off on a trail ride.
