Mack's pov

I woke up from the smell of bacon and eggs. I pet Oliver my dog laying next to me. I got up and went outside to find people all over. " Go walk around or something while breakfast is cooking " My dad said. I took Oliver for a walk into the forest. "Mackenzie" my dad called. "What" I called back. "Go ride Angel he needs out of his stall" "Okay".

I ran over to the trailer and got Angel. I tacked him up and got a big bag thing and hooked it up to the saddle for Oliver to ride in. I rode Angel to the forest and we walked for a little. A few minutes later, a huge and stronge growl was sounded. Angel stopped and I pat his neck to let him know that we need to get away. Angel turned and ran. The growl came closer and closer but Angel was fast because he is a mustang.

I ran away leading the lion away from camp. It followed us until it saw a deer. I sighed and thought 'poor deer'. I rode back to camp and everyone looked startled. My dad and Jade ran up to me and helped me off Angel. They gave me a hug and my dad said "Mack...how did you get away from that lion? Those things go like what 58 miles per hour?"

"Angel helped me...he ran as fast as he could infact that was the fastest I've ever seen a horse run. Angel saved himeslf and I"

My dad looked shocked. He starred at me for about 2 minutes then looked at Angel. He walked over to Angel and placed his hand on Angels neck and said to him, "Thank you...for saving my daughter" Angel moved hus head up and down then nudged my dad. Everyone awed and clapped...don't know why but they did.

I smiled and walked Angel to the trailer. I took out Oliver and set him down on the ground then unhooked the carrier that Oliver was in. "Attention please" My dad asked the people at camp. Eveyone looked twords him. "How about everyone get a horse and lets race" Everyone looked at eachother and nodded. They all shouted yeah and Jade and I ran for our horses.

I climbed on Angel and everyone finished tacking up their horses and getting the horses to the trail we were racing on. Once we got in ready position, my dad looked both ways then shouted "GO". The second he yelled the horses started to race. It sounded like buildings were being smacked down on earth from all the hooves being dropped and picked up on the ground.

Angel tried his best to race and run as fast as he could. Jack, Jades horse started to get faster and get ahead of everyone. "Oh thats not gonna happen" I said to myself "HEYAH" I shouted to Angel over the other horses. All of a sudden it felt like the world stopped and Angel and I were the only ones racing in a beautiful green forest.

Angel began to pick up speed and he ran faster than everyone like everyone just stopped. I past the tree everyone raced to before anybody else. I put my hands up while Angel still ran and felt happy. The sky boomed and lightning stroke as it began raining. My dad came over and kissed my forehead and patted Angel's neck.

Jade gave me a hug and gave Ang some sugar cubes then kissed the top of his wet head. Everyone rode back to camp talking about...whatever. I rode alone to camp until my dad and Micheal came over to me on Nick and Poncho. "Very proud of you Mack" Micheal said. I smiled. "I think its about time to sign that horse up for a real race compitition don't you think Micheal" My dad asked.

"I think it is about time. Mack your signing up for a real horse race in a month so you better get training" Micheal said. I hugged both my dad and Micheal and went to put Angel in his stall untacked and go to bed.

My dad woke me up and said " Today is the day we're leaving so get packed". He ate breakfast and got packed which I did the same. I packed all my stuff and Angel's tack and put them in the truck. Then I got the kennal and put it in the bed of the truck and put the pups in it. Infact it was a HUGE kennal atleast 15 people could fit in it.
