Chapter 3 ( Faith rides Agapeto)

Mackenzies pov

I woke up at 6:38 and got some breeches and a T-shirt on. Then I grabbed my boots and put them on. I put my hair up and went to Dexter's stall to check on him. I fed him a peppermint then went to Thunder's stall and got him tacked up. I took Faith with me and she walked next to Thunder. I left a note on my counter just in case my dad wanted to know where I was.

I started to ride towards Micheals house.

I arrived at Micheals and saw him riding Agapeto. I smiled and rode towards him. He stopped and turned towards me. " Hi Micheal may I borrow your little wagon" I asked. He nodded his head and put his hand up "Only on one condition" He said "What" "You and I race to the feild and back". I nodded my head an told Faith to stay.

I sat in the ready position and he yelled go. I have to admit, Agapeto was fast. Thunder began to pick up spead. He ran to the end of the feild and turned around and raced back. Agapeto slowed down but still ran. Considering the fact that Thunder was a thoroughbred he beat Agapeto by a meter.

"Now may I borrow the wagon?" I asked chuckling. "Yep go ahead return it when you can" " Michael" "Yeah" He said climbing off Agapeto "Can I go home and get Dexter and then come back?" "Yeah go ahead do you need a ride" He asked. "Um sure" "Okay let me go put Agapeto away and then we can leave" "Okay".

I walked over to the trailer hitched to his truck. I put Thunder inside it and climbed in the front seat with Faith. A few minutes later Michael came and we drove off.

Once we got there my dad was taking care of the horses. I climbed out and went to the trailer. Faith ran towards my dad and Bronko. I got Thunder out and untacked him and put him in his stall.

I ran for Dexter's stall. I got there and got his halter and his lead rope on and walked him out. He was very easy and sweet. I took him to the trailer and got in the car with my dad and the two dogs and Michael.

Once we got back to Michael's house, I climbed out of the truck closing the door behind me and walked over to the trailer. I got Dexter out and lunged him for a good 20 minutes. I went to Agapeto's stall and got his wagon tack on. I hitched the little wagon to his tack, then clipped his reins to his bridle. I climbed into the trailer with Faith and Bronko and and had Dexter's lead rope in my left hand steering with my right hand. I steared him towards my dad and Michael. My dad laughed and kissed my forehead.

After about an hour and a half, I steered Agapeto back to the stables and disconnected the wagon from Agapeto's tack. Faith jumped on his back and sat down. My dad and Michael came over and laughed at her.

I got Faith down and untacked Agapeto. I put him in his stall and went home. I put Dexter in his stall then fed all the horses, then went inside. I showered and went to bed with Faith.
