Chapter 5 ( horse riding)

Mackenzies pov

(2 months later)
I woke up and saw Bronko laying at the end of my bed. I began to think of the puppies. After about 15 minutes of waking up, I kicked the sheets off and walked downstairs to the puppies. I picked one up and gave her a kiss. I got Micheals two pups and gently pet their heads. I put them down and went to change into tan breeches, a blue top, and some riding boots.

I pulled my hair up and ran to Angels stall, I fed him some peppermints and carrots. I got his halter and strapped it over his poll clipping the lead rope to the ring of the halter. He followed me out of his stall and into the pasture, then I clipped the lead rope from his halter and watched him run.

I wrapped his lead rope around the gate and watched Dexter.

While Dexter ran around and ate grass I went to the tack room and got a lunge line and a whip. I ran back over to the pasture and called Dexter over. I gave him a nice rub on his face and then clipped the lunge line onto the ring of his halter.

I gave him a few clicks and let him spread out. Each time he slowed down or refused to do what I asked, I would raise my whip and click. Never throwing it at him. He would then pick up speed.

After about 40 minutes of lunging him with tack and without tack for 20 minutes each, I lead him over to where the hose was and rinsed him off. I put him back in his stall and got Thunder and rode him bare back with a bridle to Michaels house.

I got to Micheals house and my dad rode his horse Nick there. I saw he was carrying the two puppies we picked out for Michael. I rode towards him and he slowed down. I got the dog I picked out for Michael and rode twords the barn.

I saw Micheal grooming Agapeto. I jumped off Thunder and walked him towards Michael. My dad got off of Nick and walked him towards Michael. I held out my hand and put the puppy in Michaels hands. My dad did the same. Michael gave my dad and I a hug and kissed the top of the pups heads. I smiled and climbed back onto Thunder. I rode him away.

I went to the barn at my house and gave Thunder a bath. A whole lot of dirt came off of his fur. I dryed her off and put him back in his stall. I went to Dexter's stall and sat on the hay stack and called Jade.

J-Hello

M-Hey Jade do you want to come over

J-Um if its okay with your dad

M-As always it is

J-Okay also is it okay if I bring Jack

M- yeah

J-Okay I'll see you in a little bit

M-Okay bye

J-Bye

I put my phone down and placed my hand onto Dexter's withers. I ran to the house and got my favorite pup . I decided on a name. I named him Carlos. My dad was still at Michaels.  I ate some lunch and took care of the pups.

The doorbell rang and I answered it to see Jade. I gave her a hug and grabbed her arm making her drop everything and showed her the pups. She picked one up and stroked its soft fur. She set the pup down and I grabbed her arm again making her come with me. I showed her Dexter and told her the story.

I ran my fingers through Jack's long mane. Jade got Jack all tacked up while I got Thunder tacked up for a ride. We sat on the horses for a while watching the sun set. Then we went to get my dad and we went home.
