Scene 8

Alex and her mother get another chance to catch up, but are soon interrupted by the same group of girls that gave Alex the beating the day before. This time, her mother does not intervene, but instead encourages Alex to be strong and fight for herself. Alex whoops some serious ass and her mother could not be prouder. The two get more alone time and Alex learns that her father is the leader – the most powerful man in the world. Alex informs her mother of the box she found in her old apartment, but her mother has no recollection of the contents – a clear sign that her memory has been tampered with.
