Scene 18

The pod breaks apart and becomes a firey ball of metal and glass. It skips across the ocean in an undisclosed part of the world and eventually washes ashore on a deserted island. Alex eventually regains consciousness and evaluates her situation. She is quite certain she has a few cracked ribs and sustained a concussion, but otherwise she is in good shape. She looks skyward to see a giant vortex – the handiwork of the device she and Milo created. The device is a micro particle accelerator that has created a sufficiently large black hole above Earth. The vortex acts like a vacuum sucking in all the toxins out of the Earth's atmosphere. The plan works perfectly, and eventually the vortex is sealed and the weather becomes calm again.
