With Aris gone, Alex continues to explore the ship on her own. She is soon apprehended by the same guardian who had been chasing after Aris, and is brought forth to await her punishment by the leader – who she knows is her long-lost father. Alex is surprised that the leader knows who she is. After all, she's just a poor orphan girl and he is the most important and powerful man in human history. He then informs her that he has known about her for her entire life. The two bond, but the guardian still doesn't trust her and attempts to convince the leader of her ulterior motives for being onboard the vessel.
