[Prologue]

Today

Breathing heavily, she ran hard. Her lungs burned, her legs ached, and she badly wanted to stop running. She wanted to catch her breath, but she couldn't.

He might catch up and she couldn't let that happen. No, she was not going anywhere with him; no matter how stubborn and frustrated he was. She would still refuse!
