Chapter 3:Amy's Joy

Hi :) Amy here. OK while I still don't quite feel comfortable telling my story, I will tell you about some happy moments. YAS.

Day 154:May 17th, 2013 continued (Amy's POV throughout the story)

So after my breakfast I decided I needed to try something different. Something I've never done before. I listened to a metal song done by a band called Nightwish and the song was Bye Bye Beautiful. These lyrics OMG, they were fire. I was informed the singer's name is Anette Olzon and she used to be in the band when Tarja left. Now I'm hearing Floor Jansen is the new lead singer. How many different leads do they need? This is my difficulty understanding rock bands, they change members all the time. I've heard rumors Lacey is leaving Flyleaf, Adam is leaving Three Days Grace, and so forth. This is not goals, but I do enjoy the music. At any rate, I am rocking out to this song when Katherine comes to my room. She asks, 'Why are you listening to Nightwish?' I added, 'Well, I wanted to try something different. So here you go.' She then replied with, 'Fair enough. Nothing like trying new things. Me when I first learned bass.' After Katherine talked to me for a few, she left and I was rocking out. I was informed that the aforementioned Tarja would be working on a project with beloved Dutch band Within Temptation. I'm like, I wanna promote Made In America. The day was pretty much all about me re-watching our video and acting out all the parts, even doing Lauren's rap. I am a bad rapper but I am learning.

Day 155:May 18th, 2013

Picture this, me eating breakfast again. OK no big deal obviously. Me making chocolate chip pancakes and bacon again? Yas! This time however I wanted to go beyond the grain. I added some cinnamon to my pancakes and a little chocolate syrup to my bacon, because who doesn't love the idea of chocolate covered bacon at 7 in the morning? But here's the best part. While I was making the breakfast, I had brought my guitar down and played it. I'm pretty much the primary guitarist in the band but Kath does of course play bass, Lisa plays very little and Dani is just starting out. Christina and Lauren do not play. So after my breakfast was finished, I ate. Then afterward I went back upstairs and knocked on Dani's door. No response. Apparently she's still sleeping. Not goals. :( But not to worry, because I know Dani needed her sleep. She didn't get to sleep till 2 AM last night, 2 hours after everyone went to bed. Not sure if she was having all kinds of fun or not, but the door opened and Dani welcomed me in. Convo to follow.

Dani:Morning buttercup.

Amy (me) :Hey Danielle, slept well?

Dani:Yeah. I was studying all night.

Amy:Studying?

Dani:I spent 5 hours studying. I wanted to get my math homework done and I did. No more school until next year. Yay.

Amy:Here I was thinking you were partying all night in your room and having friends over, and here you are being a hard worker.

Dani:Hey, I got worth in this family. I'm done with 7th grade. Now for the next step, turn my homework in and that's all I have to do.

Amy:That is?

Dani:Being in this band full-time in addition to being the baby sister.

Amy:Okay.

I have no idea what Dani is saying to me. Here I was thinking that Danielle was not very responsible, but she stayed up so late to finish her homework. She left for school minutes later and I said bye to her.

*hours later*

Dani returned home and told me she got a 100%. I hugged her as did the rest of our family and we all celebrated. Dani then announced that at this point she wanted to be home-schooled. We all understood why she did this. I myself was somewhat happy, but at the same time I know that I need to strengthen my relationship with her. Of all the sisters, I have the worst bond with her. My strongest bond is with Lisa. Here's the rundown
