The house is smashed when I get there. The music is so loud that you can barely think.
I don't even know why Ryan asked me to come. I mean, I'm not really the party guy. I'm not a nerd either but I don't really fit into these kind of parties, not anymore.
I used to live on parties like this.
It was because I didn't care about my health, or the people around me. Honestly, I was an ass. I treated people like shit, and that's just the way it was.
But it all changed when I met Ryan. I hated him at first. He had everything. Good grades, a handsome girlfriend and even a car.
I got into a big fight once, on one of those parties and I did get really hurt.
And when I was about to get my ass kicked for once, Ryan stepped forward and defended me. And we became friends.

I step into the house instead of following Ryan. He went to see his friends anyway. I've never liked them. They are nothing like Ryan, he's kind and they're douchebags so I don't get why he's hanging with them. The music is even louder in here, if it's even possible. I immediately make my way to the kitchen when I suddenly feel how I crash into something, or someone.
I look down to see a girl who's holding her hand on her nose.
"I'm so sorry!" I say, the guilt's taking over.
I put my hand on her shoulder before I continue.

"Are you okay?"

She's got tears in her eyes, did I do that?

"I'm so sorry!" I say again.

"Don't be, I'm okay" she smiles, but something tells me she's lying.

"Don't lie, love!" We're both surprised by my nickname on her. Her cheeks turn into a light pink shade.

I continue:

"I know you're not okay, let me help you get some ice on that!"

But she shakes her head.

"Really..I'm fine!" She's trying to convince me.

I smile at her.
"Please.." I beg. "I feel terrible! Let me help you!"

She nods her head which makes me smile.

"Good, come here!" I say before I grab her hand and take her to the kitchen.

I immediately open the fridge and hand her some ice. "Here you have!"

"Thank you!" She smiles, showing her beautiful teeth.

She puts the ice over her nose and I can see she's in pain.

"I know I've already said it but I'm so sorry, I didn-"

"It's okay, geez, I'm okay, I promise." She says and I let out a breath of relief.

"Good, so what your name?" I ask before I grab her hand once again and shake it.

"I'm Nicole." She says.

"I'm Niall, nice to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you too.." Nicole says before she's looking around in the almost empty kitchen.

"..so what do you say? Wanna dance?" She asks, and then takes the icebag away from her nose.

"You're sure?" I respond. Is it really a good idea with her nose?

"Doesn't it hurt?" I ask, the guilt once again takes over.

She shrugs. "Just a little, c'mon Niall!"

She's practically begging me.

"Okay, let's go!"

"Yey!" She says excited. "You're saving me from being alone tonight!"
