Chapter 5

Bellamy and Kora passed many creatures throughout the entire town; minotaurs, unicorns, and faeries. Elves, griffins, even a phoenix or two.
What surprised him the most were the humans who mingled with the Mythics.

They all stopped to stare at Bellamy.

Kora noticed and frowned slightly. "Most of them have never seen a dragon before; especially one like you."

"One like me?" Bellamy asked. I didn't think there were others besides the ones like me.

"You will know soon enough, Bellamy Ward."

What is this place? Bellamy had never considered humans and Mythics getting along, in fact he hated humans. They had brought him nothing but misery.

Bellamy felt small walking between the huge farmhouses and tents sitting on either side of the lush, green street.

"Kora." Bellamy looked ahead to see a woman walking towards them. She was incredibly tall, with long blonde hair that fell down to the middle of her back.

There seemed to be a innocence about her that Bellamy had never seen before; almost as if the evils of the world left her untouched.

"Hello Lucy." Kora's tone was pleasant, but Bellamy could sense the tension underneath. "I'm glad to see you're still alive."

"Thank you, Kora." Lucy's smile changed her from someone who reminded Bellamy of a friend's little sister, to something beautiful.

Except, where Kora was beautiful in the way fire was, a dangerous and wild thing; Lucy was more like the soft colors of a dying sunset.

"Hey, Dragon-Boy, pay attention." Kora snapped her fingers in front of his eyes, which made him growl out of instinct. Lucy looked slightly shocked but recovered quickly.

"Morgin wants me to bring the dragon to him, you are to go prepare his temporary living quarters for him." Lucy ignored the glare Kora sent her way and turned to Bellamy, noticing his bare feet. "And tell one of the faeries to bring him something to eat and a blanket, it gets cold early here."

Without another word Lucy turned on her heels and walked off.

" Tell me, are all women from here this bossy?" Bellamy asked, one part joking one part serious. The question earned him a cold look from Kora.

"Watch yourself with her, Lucy has a habit of falling in love with someone then luring them to their deaths. I suppose it's a mermaid thing." Kora said with a scowl.

"You seem to not like her." Bellamy noticed.

"You better go on, Morgin doesn't approve of his guests being late." Kora ignored Bellamy's statement , before walking towards the mountain.

Add that to the list of things to ask this Morgin. Bellamy thought. He began walking in the direction that Lucy headed, wondering if he had made the right choice in following Kora.
