Chapter 11

"Aiden, I think I can take it from here." The boy looked put out, but Bellamy didn't want any special treatment. Not by his own people at any rate.

The inside of the house was completely unadorned, and clearly without power even though there was an old refrigerator and stove in the kitchen.

Upstairs consisted of three bedrooms and one bathroom; the only bedroom that was decorated in any way was the very last one next to a window.

The muscles in Bellamy's face began to twitch he was gritting his teeth so hard. First these damn humans break my body now they try to win my loyalty with a house and a nice title without so much as an apology. He could feel his teeth grow into points and nails into claws. He could feel himself losing control.

Calm yourself, boy. The time to strike is not now. A voice that was not his own echoed through Bellamy's mind. He jerked his head around, looking for the source of the voice. It was deep, like Bellamy's, but rougher; as if it had something in it's throat.

Do not look for me, I will find you when you're ready.

Images began to swim across his vision; a dark room, whispers in the shadows crying out in warning at an unknown threat, and a black scaled dragon with eyes that glowed and a roar that rattled the insides of Bellamy's skull.

Who are you? Bellamy thought, then shook his head. Who the hell am I talking to?

Ah, but you know what must be true, you have seen me in your mind as I sought you out in mine. Wait for my word, you will know it when it happens. Tell no one of this.

Wait! Bellamy cried out in his mind before an agonizing pain shot through his body, forcing him to his knees.

And as quickly as it started, it was over and the pain was gone. Bellamy tried standing up but was hit with a wave of nausea.

"Bellamy!" He heard a woman's voice, both familiar and calming, yet also old and tired.

"Bellamy!" There it was again, but this time younger and full of life. Kora.

"I'm... I'm here!" Bellamy called. He was almost afraid to stand in case his legs betrayed him again.

Kora rushed to his side when she came around the corner and saw him kneeling on the wooden floor.

"Bellamy, what happened?" She asked, worry etched on her pretty face.

"How did you know?" Bellamy responded.

"What do you mean 'how did I know'? I heard you scream my name. I'm honestly surprised the whole camp didn't hear it." Kora looked sideways at him, puzzled if not slightly annoyed. "What was the matter with you?"

Bellamy shook his head, trying to remember the images of just moments before.

"I had a... A vision, of sorts." He started getting excited. "Kora, I heard his voice, I didn't see his face but I know that it's him!"

"Wait, slow down! Who is 'him'?" Kora put her hands up in a calming manner. "You're not making sense."

"Kora, I'm not the only dragon left." Bellamy's grin was so wide that his mouth began to ache.

"We need to take this to Morgin, go ahead and get dressed and I'll go tell him." Kora didn't wait for an answer as she bolted out the door.

Ha! It seems I'm not alone after all. Bellamy smiled to himself as he changed into a black t-shirt and dark blue jeans that didn't fit quite well before following Kora.
