A week later(August pov)
Today was Mel's funeral. Man i never thought I'll be burying my brother any time soon but God does things for a reason so i guess something will come out of this. Chandra and the girls been taking this shit the hardest. I been tryna support them and mama but i can't do it all by myself. Alana says she wants me to make sure my family is okay so she doesn't need my help, she may not need me but i need her.
I sighed as I fixed my hat.
"Uncle August" i heard chay's little voice
"Yes beybah girl" i said turning around
She didnt say anything she just cried. I teared up and hugged her.
"C-Chay daddys in a better place" I said as i rubbed her back
"W-why he have to go uncle August" she asked as she cried
I sighed
"I don't know beybah girl just be strong and stop crying please" i told her as i picked her up
She nodded her head and wiped her tears.
"Thank you" i told her as we walked into the church
After the funeral
"August!" Alana yelled as i was going over to Chandra's car
I stopped walking and turned around
"Hey" i said hugging her
She hugged back tight
"Whats wrong" i asked
"Nothing you just looked like you needed a hug" she said while smiling
I smiled too
"Where's Amari" I asked
"Over there with Mya chay and kay" she said pointing over at the girls.
I smiled and nodded my head while looking at them.
"She said Dada" Alana told me
"Maan why you ain't tell me" i asked
"It was a while ago when you weren't talking to me" she said and I sighed.
"Sorr-" she cut me off
"I said it was okay August" she told me
I nodded my head and my phone started ringing. It was brandon so i answered
"Wassup B" I said as i answered
"Wassup I heard about what happened im sorry" he said in a worried tone
"Its okay sorry I didn't tell you we been going through it" i said while sighing
"I know but don't worry we gone get that bitch" he told me
"Don't trip i already got his ass" I said while looking at Alana she shook her head
