Childhood Best-Friends

Chapter six

Being in a class with both Evie and Brody, I finally got to notice what they really look like, Brody has blue eyes and blonde hair but while he has muscles he still wasn't fat but he did have a six pack (just like Scottie) and he had a tattoo of a dragon on his left arm which was very colourful, Evie has jet black hair and hazel eyes, she wasn't fat but she wasn't skinny either and she didn't have any tattoos. I was already getting quite bored by the time the bell went for the end of second period going into lunch, mum had packed me and Scottie lunch because apparently Scottie was always complaining that the food here tasted disgusting, I had kept my bag with me and seeing as it was snack and had both mine and Scottie's things in it like some snack and lunch it was a good idea. Scottie already asked before he left for home-group if I could sit with him and the hockey team at snack and lunch and he even added that Travis and Evie could come as well and I happily said yes so now I'm about to walk through the cafeteria doors with Cruz and Travis as I just got out of Dance with them and it was fun but I really wanna see Scottie again, we walked over to the table where I could see some of the hockey players including Sean, Finn, Riley, Dylan, Luca and Leo. Evie, Brody, William, Jack and Theo came 7 minutes later shortly followed by some other people that sat at different tables but soon all I could see was black due to the person behind me who wasn't making a sound? So I didn't know who it was "guess who" I heard someone say and immediately my frown turned into a smile as I jumped up from the chair, turned around and hugged the person "wow I didn't think you'd be this excited to see me" they said wrapping their arms around my waist keeping me in place as my arms were tightly wrapped around their neck

"Well the last time I saw you was before home-group and I did sort of miss you" I added in a small voice that only he heard but he just laughed shortly

"Well I sort of missed you as well" he said in the same tone making me laugh shortly

"And you're sure that you two are just best friends" Evie teased in the background

"Yes, we are, we're just messing around" Scottie explained, a little after when Scottie and I first met, he asked me out (playing) and we started doing all of the things couples would do but now because we grew out of that stage, he always comes up with new things to say and it's mostly a pick up line, some of the pickup lines that he comes up with are so funny "when was the last time I told you one of my famous lines" he said looking down at me

"I believe it has been a while since the last time I heard one of your famous pickup lines" I said, he still had his arms wrapped around my waist but we both moved so that I was sitting where I was earlier and he was on my right with his arm around my shoulders and me still pressed against his side "alright... are you a camera, because every time I look at you, I smile" he said, I smiled shaking my head at him

"Does that one actually work" Riley asked

"Well it got Snow to smile so I'm gonna say yes" Scottie said looking over at me, I handed him his lunch

"What have we got next" I asked him remembering that I have the next 4 period of classes with him which will be fun

"Ah we have Racing, English, Aviation then history" he said without even looking at either mine or his timetable. 10 minutes later and we were all talking to one another but Scottie arm still hasn't moved his arm from around my shoulders, he leaned closer to my right ear while I was taking a bite of my sandwich and whispered: "when I first saw you, I looked for a signature, because every masterpiece has one" I blushed a little but moved so my mouth was near his ear and whispered

"Is your name Bluetooth? Because I'm really feeling a connection" and this made him smile

"I taught you well" he said making my smile grow, but before we could say anything else some guy cleared his throat making us turn to him seeing as he was standing on the other side of me where the table ends

"I feel like I've seen you before" the guy told me

"Yea I'm the receptionist at the STD clinic" I said keeping a straight face making everyone at the table laugh, the guy gives me a glare telling me that he's either pissed or angry making Scottie move his arm from around my shoulder to my waist where he pulled me closer to him

"I didn't know you had a girlfriend, Scottie" they guy said "my names Blake, baby girl and what's your name" he asked turning to me

"Not interest" I answered

"Blake, leave her alone or else I'll make sure you never see daylight again" Scottie threatened making Blake fake being scared

"I'm scared that you'll threaten me like that Scottie, but remember who can get you kicked out of school here" Blake said smirked

"And how are going to do that" I asked moving Scottie's arm off of me and standing in front of this guy with my arms crossed over my chest

"And what are you going to do about it" he said, instead of answering I grabbed his left arm, turned him around bending his arm backwards while leaning him down so I could whisper:

"You ever talk to me or any of my friends again and I won't hesitate to never let you see daylight again" I hissed in a whisper, I released him quickly and sat back down next to Scottie who immediately placed his arm back around my shoulders moving me right next to him again

"I didn't know you knew how to fight" Scottie said, I shrugged

"Ben would always teach me things after-..." I stopped before I told him about the orphanage and instead said: "after I turned 12" nobody asked any questions but I could see that Scottie wanted to ask something but I didn't answer him or his pleading gaze instead I turned to Cruz and Travis and talked about our dance routine that we have to come up with

"Maybe we could do a dance where we're all standing in a straight line next to each other and have some sort of battle against each other" Travis said

"Oh my god, I have the perfect idea" I said, they both turned to me to continue "going along the lines of Travis's idea of the dance battle, we all get in pairs with whoever but must be a girl and a boy and dance against each other, we can have two friends act as a judge walking around and looking at the dances we perform but eventually they join in dancing with us" I said in one breath

"We could get more people to join our dance" Travis said

"we should ask the teacher if we can organize to perform in front of the school in the next school meeting which is 9 weeks away, that'll be enough time plus if we get all of the class plus some of the teachers and lots more student, we could pull this off" Cruz said

"I'll tell Scottie and we can tell the hockey team at the next practice but start asking around, we'll ask Mrs Carter in dance class tomorrow and she should be able to help with this dance" I said

"Maybe we could do the dance for the parents so instead of keeping it a big secret tell people that way when the next meeting is when we invite the parents we can surprise them with a dance, sort of like a flash mop but that fact that everyone in that gym except the parents will know about this dance" Travis added

"Alright we'll get started on this tomorrow in dance" I said, we all agreed to tell the teacher tomorrow so I went back to eating my lunch but I could feel Scottie watching me so when I finished my lunch I leaned up to his ear and whispered "if you want the story I might tell you after school" in a soft voice then went back to talking with Evie like nothing happened.
