Chapter twelve

They all starred at me so I explained "dad rang me to tell me that when I was in the accident, I wasn't with my parents but with my uncle and aunty, my dad's brother and his wife, my case finally got through to the lab and they were finally able to identify my aunty and uncle's bodies, they must have done a background check to see where I fit in and found my parents, alright now I got 2 bits of good news and 1 bit of bad, which one do you want first" I asked

"Good" they all answered immediately

"good news: I have 3 siblings, bad news: they want me to move in with them-" and just as I had done with dad, Scottie cut me off

"Like hell you're moving in with them, you don't even know them" he said but then he saw my face and smiled innocently "continue" he added

"And the other bit of good news is that I'll still be able to see you all" I said

"How, if you moving then you won't be able to see us every day maybe only for the hockey games" Cruz said "I will be seeing you every day, I'll still be coming to school with you all and I'll definitely be coming to your hockey games" I said sternly

"And again I ask Cruz's question, how" Evie asked

"Because I'll be moving next door" I said shrugging

"So you're not moving away and leaving us" Parker asked sitting down next to me, I shook my head at him

"Nope, your all stuck with me" I said and they all smiled except Scottie

"Your, JUST, moving next door" he said, I nodded and after a minute he grinned and pulled me to his chest "thank god" he murmured so low that he probley thought I couldn't hear him but I just did

"Alright now let's watch the movie" Evie said, I sat down in Scottie's lap facing the T.V and because I was shorter then him, I fit perfectly. I rested my head back against his chest but still so I could see the screen while he placed his chin on the top of my head wrapping his arm around my waist while I rested my hands on top of his, both of hands were laced with his as he watched the movie silently.

3 weeks later

Halloween was the best, everyone from the hockey team dressed up and I kept the deal I made with Evie and got them to dress up as a superhero so it end up being:

Scottie's and I's custom worked out really well now that we're a couple and it turns out 5 days before Halloween Cruz and Travis got together then 3 days after Halloween Evie and Brody got together and they make really cute couples. It's now the 15th of November which is a Sunday so right now Scottie is running around the house like a mad man looking for all of his hockey gear which is actually in his room since I know mum put it there. Tomorrow is the day that my real parents are moving in but because it's a school day I won't be there to say hello so mum and dad invited them over for dinner which will be fun. In a little more than 4 weeks will be the dance that Travis, Cruz and I are still making but we have the help of Kristan (Brody's cousin), Evie and of course Scottie

"Scottie, we have to get going now or we'll be late for practice" I called

"Where is my gear" he called back

"Mum said she put it in your room" I replied, today we're versing East-Valley high

"You could have told me that earlier, when I was running around the damn house for 20 minutes looking for it" he whined as he came out of the dining room and raced back upstairs to grab his back while I held his hockey stick and his spare that he's letting me borrow "I just got a text from Riley, he can't play today so you're going to have to step in" he said coming down from the stairs

"Can't you get one of the others to play instead" I said

"No because we never get past this team and if we have your help then we will" he said "just think about it, you and me on the ice again, we can go this, just like old times" he added standing in front of me

"Alright I guess I'll play for today" I agreed, he smiled as we both headed out the door and into the car on the way to another game of ice hockey.

Yesterday's game went really well even Evie and Travis came and cheered for the team but mainly for me, Scottie, Cruz or Brody but they did a great job as we won the match and now we have a new match in a week, yay and Scottie said that I'll have to play again because next week another team member, I think he said it was Theo, has to go away with his family so I'll have to step in again!!. My real parents are coming for dinner tonight and they're bringing my siblings with them while they meet Ben and Debra who still l want me to call them my parents but I can't wait to meet my parents and my siblings, I can finally start being a normal teenage (sort of). School went by fast and by the time it was lunch time I was so excited that I could barely sit still but I managed when Scottie came to sit next to me

"You'll be fine, just be yourself and they'll love you, dad told me that you have 2 older brother and an older sister but he doesn't know any of their ages" Scottie said, I turned to him with a smile in my face

"I can finally have a normal family and I'll still be able to see you and have friends to keep in contact with" I said happily, he smiled

"I love the fact that you're so excited about meeting your real parents, if it were me I would be freaking out" Evie said, I shrugged

"I can never really remember my family and if they really want to see me that must mean that they care about me and they want me a part of their lives, right" I said turning back to Scottie

"I always got told that it's the thought that counts so if they're trying to get in contact with you again then you should go for it" he told me, I nodded leaning my head against his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me closer

"Captain" I called, Scottie looked down at me

"When are we going to tell mum and dad about us" I asked him, he thought for a second

"We can tell them before dinner with your parents tonight" he answered

"How well do you think dad will take it" I asked

"Depends if he's in a good mood or not" he answered, I thought for a second before turning to him again with another question

"Do you reckon that I'll look like my siblings" I asked, he smiled

"I hope you look like your sister then you can trick your parents into thinking you're her and she's you that would be so funny to watch" he said laughing a little. The last two period went by fast and because Scottie and I took our bags to period six so as soon as the bell went we were already running to the front of the school ready to go home and meet my parents and siblings.
