Chapter thirteen

"Alright, since the two of you are home earlier, both you can go get dressed then you have to decide" mum said walking into the living room where Scottie and I sat watching T.V with Dawn

"One of you has to go pick up Parker from school while the other can go next door to get Winter's parents, Javon and Vena Branson" dad finished

"I'm going to get Parker, bye" Scottie said quickly as he got up, got his keys then ran out of the house, I ran out after him stopping a few metres away from the front door but instead of going straight after him, I shouted

"SCOTTIE JAY PIERCE, YOU ARE DEAD MEAT WHEN YOU COME HOME" and he must have heard me before he started running the rest of the way, well as for me, I walked over to my parent's house to the right of Scottie's place when you're standing on the sidewalk since Mr and Mrs Smith live on the left and knocked on the door when I reached it, it opened with a boy my age looking exactly me in every possible way except of the fact that he has short hair and he was a boy and the clothes we wore were different but not by far

"This is very strange" we both whispered together before he turned his head into the house and shouted

"MUM" and not even a minute later there was a woman with really dark blonde hair, light blue eyes wearing jeans, a green shirt also wearing a pink apron running towards us

"You must be Winter, we were so happy when we found out that you were alive" 'mum' said as she slowed to walking as she came closer until she was in front of me and pulled me in for a hug

"Wait you're my twin" the boy who answered the door said

"Scottie didn't say anything about me having a twin, he just said 2 older brothers and an older sister" I said looking around confused

"Who's Scottie" the boy who has yet to introduce himself said (the one who opened the door)

"Sorry I'm Wayde, your twin brother" he said, he must be reading my mind, maybe I'm the oldest "I'm older by 3 minutes and 37 seconds" he said

"I always knew that you two shared the same mind but I didn't think it would come true" I turned to the staircase and found a girl around the age of 16 looking down at us, she looked just like me and Wayde but she's just a little taller than me

"I'm your sister, Nessa" she said introducing herself

"I'm your mum as Wayde said beforehand" mum said

"Dad's in the kitchen with Layton, your oldest brother if you want to introduce yourself" Wayde said making me nod happily but he only laughed at the action, he so needs to meet Scottie "come on, I'll show you" he said, we turned into a hallway and started walking slowly as he started talking "we all really missed having you around when we were growing up but dad, Layton and I took it the worst, you weren't one of the those girls where all you wanted to do was hang out with Nessa or mum but you would always come and hang out with me and Layton, damn we were so protective of you and you were dad's little girl" he said, a tear escaped his eyes as he kept looking forward, he must have only been a foot or two shorter then Scottie, I grabbed his sleeve making him stop and turn to me

"growing up I was always moved from foster home to foster home, I never had a real family, when I got told that my family was alive and that I had siblings, I was so excited, hell my closest friends had a rough time trying to settle me down today at school, I would rather have two over protective brothers then brother I only say hi too" I said as I made him stop in front of him, he nodded so I did the best thing I could think of. I hugged him. I wrapped my arms around his waist burying my head in his chest as his arms came around the back of my shoulders

"We used to always think the same when we were little, we were the terrible two as Nessa and Layton called us because we would always find new ways to get into trouble" he said "I love you, Winter, I'm so glad your back" he added

"I love you too Wayde, It's really good to be with my real family again" I replied, he pulled away after a couple of minutes and wiped away his tears before he grabbed my hand and continued down the hall before we turned into a large kitchen and near the fridge were two people, the tallest one (around the same height as Ben) must be my dad, he has really light blond hair but with green eyes wearing jeans and a black shirt while the other guy looked around 19, he had the same colour hair and eyes as me and Wayde and was a little taller than Wayde but he wouldn't be taller than Scottie maybe around the same height, Wayde cleared his throat but the two guys just groaned

"Mum, I told you five minutes ago that we were coming" Layton said, Wayde mentioned for me to say something as he smiled evilly so I smiled the same and said

"And that was five minutes ago" I said in a serious voice but I think it worked since they both turned around and looked at us "mum's at the front door" I told them and they both gasped stepping towards me

"WINTER!!!!!" they both yelled, they both pulled me in for a hug but all I did was wrap one arm around both of their waists, the pulled back after a moment and looked down at me but I turned around and looked at Wayde

"Why am I the small one in the family" I asked but he just shrugged

"Did Wayde tell you anything" Layton asked astonished, I nodded

"He told me that you all missed me growing up but you, dad and Wayde took it worse because I was always with you three, he also told me that you and him used to be so protective of me and that I was a daddy's girl" I said turning to my dad for the last bit then back to Layton "and I told this to Wayde but I want you and him to be protective of me again just how we were before I disappeared" then I turned to my dad and added "and I want to be a daddy's girl again" I said and they both smiled and nodded hugging me again

"Javon, kids, we have to go" mum called from the front of the house, we all started slowly walking towards the door talking on the way

"So any boys that I have to scare away" dad asked

"I don't think you'll have to, I already have a boyfriend" I told them

"Who is he" they said together "and how do you know him" Wayde said

"His dad, Ben was my case-worker and his family were like a second family to me, Scottie is their oldest child and 2 days after I moved there we started dating, we basically grew up together" I told them, my dad looked down sad that he remembered that he hadn't been there for 9 years "dad" I called making him look up at me but I only just smiled at him "I'm happy that the accident happened, I mean I'm sad that two people I didn't know were killed but without the accident I wouldn't have been put into foster care, which I basically got myself out of every home I went too, but without the accident I wouldn't have met Scottie, Parker and Dawn or Ben and Debra so don't blame yourself, I don't" I said as we stopped at the front door

"Are you happy that you met Scottie" he asked, I nodded remembering all of the great memories that we've had

"I love him with all my heart, I'm so lucky to have met him" I said, they all looked at me with love

"We better get going" mum said looking at me proudly

"How come she can fall in love when I'm the oldest and don't even have a girlfriend" Layton said as we all exit the doorway and walked over to Scottie's place

"Mum, dad, is it alright if I continue to call Ben and Debra, mum and dad as well" I asked them, they both nodded "they want me and Scottie to get married already" I murmured

"Not until your 20 young lady" dad said, I smiled at that

"Hey Nessa, can you help me with some revenge" I asked walking next to her, she nodded for me to continue so I told her my plan.
