Childhood Best-Friends

Chapter twenty-one

 Scottie's POV

The next few weeks didn't go so well, we went to visit our parents a week ago and it didn't end well, a drunk driver lost control of his truck and collided into us from the side, from Snow's side as she was in the passenger side, she got most of it and it now in a sort of coma. The doctors said that she can wake up if she wants it's just that her body if not ready because she needs to regain some energy before she wakes up but it's been a week. A week since I've seen her smile, a week since I've kissed her and a week since I've held her in my arms. I love her so damn much and I'm missing her like crazy, I wish she would just wake up now so I could hold her in my arms

"Scottie, please, you need to go home and shower, Winter would kill you if she saw you right now and if you do agree to go I promise I will call if something happens or if she wakes up" Nessa said as he walked into the room shortly followed by Cruz, Evie and Brody as well as Wayde, Layton and Travis, both parents were at home, I nodded not really bothering to talk, Travis came over to me followed by Brody and Wayde and Layton, Travis and Cruz both put both of my arms around their shoulders and walk out of the room then to the car while still holding me upright, they let me say a quick goodbye and give her a kiss on the forehead. I can walk, but because I've only been walking rarely I can't steady myself and I crush into walls, I should know because it happens every-time I walk a little down the hall to the bathroom. Once we get back to our apartment they force me upstairs and into the bathroom where they stay but they do hand me some more clothes so I can changed when I'm finished. When I'm dry and dressed I knock on the door and they open it but I hear the end of Layton's phone conversation "...yea, we'll be there in a minute" he said then hung up then he turned to me with a big smile "hey Scottie, we have a surprise for you so hurry up and get downstairs" he said, I nodded. They all (including the parents) noticed that during this week waiting by Snow for her to wake up, I haven't done that much talking or any at all so I won't start know. When we get back to the car, we drive back to the hospital and walk silently up to Snow's room, I still don't know what's going on but everything is clear when we walk in and I see everyone crowed around Winter's bed, Nessa points to me and they make a pathway for me to get to the bed and once I can see what's happening, I just stand there frozen, not knowing what to do

"Hey Captain" Snow said, she's even walking... well standing but when she notices that I'm not going to be going anywhere she starts walking closer to me and stops right in front of me

"Is it really you" I asked looking down at her, a faint smile grew on her face

"Oh, it's me Captain, you all can't get rid of me that easily" she said smiling as she looked around at all her family as well as mine, I stepped forward towards her and placed my right hand on her cheek, and when I realized that she wasn't going to disappear and was indeed standing right in front of me, I wrapped both of my arms around her waist, one hands placed on her lower back while the other was placed between her shoulder blade pulling her even closer to my chest then she already was and my head landed in the crook of her neck

"I swear to god, Snow, if you ever do that to me ever again I'll be tying you to a chair and locking you inside our apartment" I murmured but apparently not low enough because everyone else heard as well and laughed at my statement "I love you so much Snow, please don't do that to me again" I added

"I'll try not too but I love you too" she said, she lead me back to the hospital bed "the nurse said that I can't leave until tomorrow morning considering its already past 7:15 so I want you to stay with me tonight" she explained, she laid down on the hospital bed and moved over to one side and I slide in next to her, when I was in the bed, I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer to me so her head landed just below my chin

"You know this idiot hasn't left you all week, only to go to the toilet down the hall and he only showered once in this whole week" Nessa said, she wrinkled my nose turning my head to look up at me and gave me a look

"Please tell me you showered today at least" she asked

"That was the only time he had a shower this week" Wayde said, I turned her around so her back was against my chest, she opened her arms towards Wayde, he smiled and walked over to her and stood next to the bed, she wrapped her arms around his waist and pulled his that little bit closer to me and the bed which made him sit on the bed and place her head on his lap as he played with strands of her hair "you know you gave all of us quite a scare especially me, Layton, dad, Nessa, Scottie, Parker and Dawn" he said, she looked up at him

"Where are they, are they alright, are they with Ben and Debra, did they come and visit me while I was slee-" he cut her off by placing his other hand on her mouth stopping her from talking anymore

"at home, yes they're fine, yes because there's no are school right now and yes they did come and visit you while you were sleeping" he answered making her nod "and Ben did say that he, Debra, Mum and Dad were all coming tomorrow morning when you get released and Parker and Dawn are coming with them, they both can't wait to see you" he added, she nodded again and laid her head back down in is lap and her breathing started to slow down before she was dead asleep.
