In real life a wedding is something very expensive(at least for me). You have to buy rings(and they're better be with a dimond cause' ya'll know women like shiny and expensive things) and you have to throw a big party and invite all your frinds and relations because you don't want a curse to be put on your family.
And remember that nice dress your future wife wants? Yeah IT'S OVER 9000!(get the reference?). And that suit looks good. Never mind.
And you have to rent a limuzine because all your other friends did so, and you don't want to be the only one who didn't.
But at the end of the day, what did you got? A ton lot of money missing from your pocket. That little piggy bank is now broken on the floor and cries bloody tears because not even a single penny remained in it.
Well, in Skyrim is much much easier. You just have to buy an Amulet of Mara, take your future wife, go in Riften activate some king of stone that is in that church(ah,you know what i mean) and BOOM! You're now married. But don't kiss the wife. Not yet. And the best part is, in Riften there is that place where you can adopt a child. You just need to have a house and pay 1000 coins and there you go. You have a complete family.
It's so much easier than in real life.
You can wonder through the hole Skyrim and try to hook other women and your wife will still give you money and food daily. Isn't that amaizing? And you're kids are practicaly gods. And you can go with them on an adventure to recover some Elder Scrolls and slain some dragons togheter.
