Chapter 14- Broken Promises

"We dated"

"Wow, really? Yeaaa, I didn't... I didn't catch that" I said sarcastically. I'm not dumb, that was common sense. Eugh.

"She comes with very dangerous people, and so do I but that was my past and i won't let anyone hurt you hazel I hope you understand that."he said in a kind of plea, staring me in my eyes.

" I can really handle myself but Okay" I simply said, more than you'll ever know.

"Okay?"

"Okay" "I trust you, I don't know why, but I really trust you, please don't make me lose that trust jayden" he smiled and leaned in to kiss me.

"Cross my heart and hope to die" he said smiling.

"Can you take me home now?"

"Can you go to a party with me tomorrow?"

"Yes" i said smiling

"Well Yes I'll take you home"
He started the engine and we headed towards my home.

When I walked into the house the house was dead, all the lights were off and it was in total silence. I took my shoes off and headed upstairs. Why is no one home?

"Momma"

"Aden?"... Nothing. I headed towards the the kitchen. when I get inside I see a note on the counter.

We're both out working, well I am, Aden is working at his home and being a father to his daughter, love you.

Momma didn't come home until Late last night. I wanted to talk to her about everything but I know she's tired so I'll just wait until the right time. I feel very over whelmed about everything so I tried calling rose but she didn't answer, I'm just an emotional person.

I walked downstairs to see my mom in the kitchen having coffee at the island.

"I'm sorry" we both said at the same time. We gave a soft laugh, no one has no idea how much i love this beautiful women sitting in front of me. So anything that did happen I could seriously let it go.

"Do you work today?"

"Yes but I'm off tomorrow"

"I work tomorrow, but honestly I think I'm going to quit"I said. I don't think it's a good time for me to be working, I can't focus, and I have to keep my A's up,I still save volleyball and student government. Honestly those are more important to me.

"My daughter don't quit, no no no, but If you do feel like it's overwhelming, or like you can't do it to an extent, then okay", "but I really wanted us to go to Aden's house tomorrow night" she said rubbing her fingers through her hair "it's just we haven't met his little girl yet and I..

"I'll be home by then, don't worry. Okay I love you, I guess I'll see you in the morning" I said giving her a small kiss on her cheek.

After talking to a few important people I decided to head back home, after a phone call from hazel I headed straight to sleep.

I honestly thought I left all of this stuff behind me, thought I had a chance to start over. I guess not.
