Chapter 17-Dark times

Jayden POV

I punched him in the face "YOU RAPED HER!" The anger I left inside is now coming out.

"No, she wanted it, I swear" he said trying to not laugh.

Aden took the gun from my hands and shot him right in between his legs.

"AHHHHHH"

"Jayden, Aden leave now. Ashley needs you. They said it's urgent". I heard my dad say. "Trust me, We'll handle him".

Ashley POV

Everything is such a blur. I don't know what's going on. All I hear is a bunch of doctors talking but I'm not sure of what they're doing. I'm laying on this bed and everyone is rushing me down the hall. My eyes focus on the bright lights in the hall 

"What's going on?" "Where's my mom and my brother?" "Where's Jayden". I screamed, or so I thought. I'm so dizzy that I can't even sit up for a second. I know because I've been trying to.

Next thing I know, everything was dark.

I woke up trying to adjust my eyes to the bright lights. As soon as I did a doctor walked in. How did I get here? How did I get to this place? I'm suppose to be okay... I'm always okay.

"Where's my mom? Where's Aden? Where's Jayden?" I cried.

"Don't worry all of your family are outside that door. Now Ashley we  seemed to miss a injury on your head, but we caught It just in time and your going to be okay. The surgery didn't hurt your baby, he's going to be just fine also!"

The baby? What baby?

"A baby?"

"Yes, your baby boy, hunnii you're about 4 months pregnant"

My heart stopped. What am I going to do, what am I going to do? What will my Mom think , what will Jayden think. My baby, I'm going to have a baby. I can't even explain the feeing that news gave me. I've always wanted a baby, but I can't take care of a baby right now. I'm not sure what to do, that's​ was the last thing I remembered before falling asleep again.

When I woke up and adjusted my eyes my family was in the room. My mom was asleep in a chair and I saw Aden standing outside on the phone. Jayden was sitting in a chair with his elbows on his knees, he didn't notice I was awake yet.

"What are we gonna do?" I struggled to say.

He quickly looked up. "We're going to wait until you're better Ashley. Don't worry about it right now. Get some rest".

Jayden POV

FUCK!
How did I let this happen? How ? I can't do this to her.

*Phone rings*

"Jayden, it's nurse Hallie, you need to get to the hospital quick, it's Lily. She fell and hit her head they rushed her into surgery. I just thought you'd want to be here if *clears throat*when she wakes up." She said panicked.

I hung up the phone. Everything is crashing down right in front of me. My baby. I can't lose my baby sister.
I took a deep breath. Everything is gonna be just fine. No need to worry anyone. I leaned over to kiss hazel on her forehead.

"You're leaving?" She said with a hint of panic on her voice.

"It's been a emergency, I'll be back"" "don't worry”

I walked out of the room slowly, but as soon as I hit the halls I ran down to where Lily is.
My baby sister is my world. No one can replace her. God I don't understand why.

"Jayden, wow you got here quick" said Ms Hallie.

"Where is she? What happened?"

She started crying "Jayden I don't know, I had my eyes on her the whole time, I just turned away for a quick second. She was in so much pain and she kept calling your name. I called you as soon as I could. They said it'll be more hours until they're finished" The tears streamed down her light grey eyes.

I took a deep breath. Okay.

"I'll be back" I walked away towards the parking lot. The wind that hit me was so refreshing. I went to the car, looked in the glove department and took several gulps of whiskey. I'm thinking to much. This is all my fault. I sat there and laid my head down on the wheel. All the anger, all the sadness, all the fear just came out at once. The most two important females in my life right now are both hurt. And I can't do anything about it. I laid back and drank more of the whiskey trying to drink this pain away.

Ashley POV

How did I not know I was pregnant?
I sat up on the bed, rubbed my stomach and looked at my mom.
"Mom, I really sorry. I wasn't very careful and now a innocent child is going to be involved."

"Baby, it's okay. We're gonna be alright. Don't worry about it." She said with a weak smile. I could tell she had been crying.

Jayden walked in the room. As soon as I see him I could tell something else was wrong from his teary eyes, to the paleness of his face.

"Jayden what's going on?"

"I'm fine, hazel don't worry about it. You need to get some rest."

"Could everyone please stop saying that. I'm not dying! I was raped I'm still able to function I swear to you. Now tell me what's wrong." I screamed. I don't understand why they keep treating me like I'm unable to do anything. "I've slept enough for today."

He looked taken back by my tone of voice but I had no choice. I want to know what's going on.

"It's Lily, she fell down hard and hit her head."

"In a fucking hospital. Where the hell are they. How does that even happen." Turns out, I didn't want to know. That's not something I wanted to hear, but I'm not going to let him know that. Apparently my monitor didn't care about what I wanted. Because it started beeping faster and the nurses reentered

"Well she's going to okay right?" My mom said

"Of course." The look in his eyes said otherwise.
