Maya
I jolted up sweating heavily. My breathing was racing. I felt tears roll down my eyes with my reoccurring nightmare. Once I controlled my breathing and wiped my tears, I looked at my clock. I had two minutes before Riley's usual entering into my room.
"Oh no." I get up. I run over to my closet. I look around for something nice to wear. "What to wear what to wear?" I ask myself. I run and grab my brush and brush out my hair while looking for clothes.
I decide on a black and white dress. I strip myself on my pajamas and take my dress out of my closet.
I heard my window open. Oh no! I thought, Why is she early? She doesn't like it when I'm not ready for school!
I turned around and heard the voice I expected the least.
"Hellooo Maya."
"FARKLE GET OUT!"
I watched his face turn bright red as he covered his wide-eyes.
"OUT! OUT! OUT!" I cried to cover myself with my dress. He backed out and I started freaking out. I ran into the bathroom and went to a corner. I sat down and just sat there. I didn't want to go to school now.
After maybe a minute, I heard footsteps in the apartment. "Maya? Maya where are you?" This time, it was Riley. "Farkle is freaking out. He won't tell me what happened."
"Bathroom." I weakly said. She slowly opened the door and saw me.
"Maya, c'mon you should be ready. Here, put this on." She picks up the dress and puts it on my head.
"I'm not going." I burry my head into my knees.
"What? Yes you are, c'mon get up. Put the dress on." She only got as far as to getting it to my neck. She sighed and asked. "Maya, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, I'm just not going today." I say. She sits down in front of me.
"Look, I don't know what happened, is it about you mom?" She asks me, I shake my head. "Did I do something?" She asks. I shake my head furiously.
"No, no you didn't do anything. I just don't know. I want to stay home." I tell her.
"Maya. I'll make sure nothing happens to you okay? I promise you that." She grabs my hand. "Lets go."
I still can't believe after so only three years, she has gotten more mature and over she looks. It's amazing what time can do to people.
"Okay."

I sat in my teachers chair in homeroom. Since we didn't actually learn anything in homeroom, she counted on me to control everyone if she didn't get back in time.
"Hey Ranger Rick, c'mere" I motioned Lucas up to me. We had homeroom together because our last names were so close together, Riley and Farkle were in their homeroom right now as well.
"'Sup short stack?" He replies to my nickname for him.
"You've got next class with Riley right?" I ask him. He nods,
"Yeah."
"Okay. I need you to tell Riley something for me in there..."
Farkle
I walked as fast as I could to my first class. I had a class with Maya and I wanted to apologize as soon as I could. I felt horrible for what happened. But when I walked into class, she wasn't there. I sighed, knowing she'd probably be tardy to class, and this time because of me. I was frustrated with myself.
I waited, and waited. Class started, and five minutes went by. I almost exploded with curiosity of where Maya was.
"Farkle!" I watch as Riley bursts though the room, interrupting the teacher. "Out. Here. Now." I sit there for a second before looking like I have a mini-seizure, and walking out. Riley explains how this is very important and she just needs a few answers.
Once the door shuts, she gives me a death look that I've never seen out of her. "What did you do to Maya?" She asked. I was surprised.
"What do you mean?"
"Ever since you came back all worried, she hasn't been acting right. She wouldn't leave this morning. I told her I'd make sure she'd be okay, but now she's gone." She says.
"What do you mean she's gone?" I ask her.
"I mean she left school Farkle. I have no idea where she is."
Now I feel like crap.
