Hudson's POV
I felt her warm breath hit my neck. I watched her chest rise and fall. I moved my gaze to her calmly looking face while I caressed her forehead as she slept peacefully. I brought my hand to the side of her face and rubbed her cheek with my thumb. I placed my forehead against hers." Someday, I'll make you happy and make you forget what sadness feels like. I'll love your flaws if you love mine." I kissed her forehead shedding a tear because it's gonna be hard to earn her love back but it'll be worth it all.
I gently slipped out of her grip already missing the feeling of her warmness. I unlocked the door and opening it feeling the rush of cold air. I walked out quietly closing the door. I popped the hood seeing the warm steam rise. I jogged over to the trunk bringing out my tool bag. I know it was going to be loud. I turned my phone on flipping to the music. I went back inside the car taking out my headphones. I put each one into Joanna's cute ears. I tapped on Sam Smith - Lay Me Down. I let it play seeing Joanna's precious lips curving into a smile. I think I'll just watch her few minutes. It won't hurt the car.
30 minutes later
I came out running to Joanna's door. I swiftly picked her up and ran inside trying not to slipped with my soaked shoes. I pushed open her room door with my foot. I gently laid Joanna down but feeling her grip around my neck won't open." Mattie I want you to be my first kiss okay but make sure Miss Hubbs doesn't see us," she remembers my real name and Miss Hubbs? That was our kindergarten teacher. She smirked shyly still with her eyes closed. Almost like she was sleep walking.
She pulled me in closer where I could fill her breath hit my lips." Ready," she nervously tremble but I took hold of her face shakily. I leaned in gently connecting our lips while she tensed under my touch. I felt soft hands to my shoulder and push me roughly till I hit my head on the nightstand.
Joanna's POV
Dream -
" Mattie I want you to be my first okay but make sure Miss Hubbs doesn't see us," I nervously said swinging my pink lunch box. Mattie smiling as usual. I dropped my lunch box and walked closer to Mattie. I leaned in while Mattie came closer." Ready," I felt Mattie's hand touch my face. I planted my lips full of peanut butter and jelly on Mattie's. It felt so realistic and amazingly soft.
I realized I wasn't dreaming. My hands went to Hudson's shoulder and pushed her harshly. I saw her in pain rubbing the back of her head." Why did you kiss me?" I said annoyed but I kind of enjoyed it. I couldn't tell her that though. I don't know for sure yet." What do you mean, you kissed me!" I was frightened by the way she snapped at me but I didn't show it.
" You call me and just kissed me." I was confused. I never called her." I called Mattie, my crush from kindergarten." I felt the old heartbreak creep into my heart." My name is Mattie and I was your crush because you thought I was a boy." I could see that tears were falling from her grayish green eyes." I kept all the things you gave me including the love letter. And you lost me because you forgot about me to go with some guy. You didn't notice when I left. I came back freshman year and I actually thought you wouldn't remember me before we graduated this year."
She ran out of the room and I could hear her slam her door. I felt bad. Really bad. Hudson is Mattie and I was so blind not to see it. I couldn't get the look of sadness from her face out of my mind. I heard the door open and footsteps running. I heard her speaker blast Disclosure - Magnets. I tiptoed even though the music was loud. I saw her running on a treadmill fast. Very fast. She stopped and took off her shirt. Her muscles were shown nicely. As she turned, she held her chest but whoa. Her abs were nicely toned as well as her v line.
She stared out the room checking if I was there. After she look away, I quickly ran to my room.
Tuesday
The weekend had passed and so did Monday. The storm didn't pass until last night. The weekend passed with silence and not making eye contact or talking. It was actually a pretty morning especially getting to see the beach every morning. Hudson or should I say Mattie was out with friends surfing. As usual, I walked into the kitchen with my breakfast was already made. I ate alone in the quiet. Thank goodness I wasn't sick but now I'm lonely. As I watched the waves I realized Hudson and some other tomboys and girls walked into the indoor area with showers to rinse off with. They went into another room. Fifteen minutes later, they walked through the living room where I was sitting.
" Mattie do you think you can come with us later to The Hut. It'll be a blast. Plus a bunch of hotties will be there." She blushed while the girl under her arm hit her in the shoulder." Hey who's that?" Hudson's smile quickly disappeared." A temporary guest. Just act like she doesn't exist." she said harshly. I felt tears sting my eyes until they started falling, burning my cheeks. I gave her a look of sadness before walking away. I rushed to my room. I decided to sleep off all my sadness and hope I'll leave soon.
After sleeping for a while, I finally woke up. I walked to the kitchen grabbing my cold cup of tea. I walked out into the warmth of the sun. I stood there for a while staring at the calm ocean and its beautiful waves. I felt arms wrapped around my waist. I felt the anger in me build as I was about ready to blow." I'm sorry for being a such an idiot. You didn't deserve to hear those hurtful words. I dont deserve for you to forgive me..." I didn't even hesitate but I turned around in her arms. I laid my head against her chest." I forgive you," I tightened our hug, shifting my gaze to her's.
