Mattie's POV 

As soon as I walked in, I crashed on my couch. I looked to my right seeing Emma awkwardly and nervously sitting on my chair." Hey Emma, you okay?" I asked feeling worried." Who i-is that?" she asked pointing to Danny's picture." Oh I see you met Danny? Danny is part of my family. Not by blood but by love. Ever since we were babies, we had a sister-like connection." I said smiling reminiscing our memories.

" O-oh," she said trying to hide her blush. I felt excitement rise in my heart." Is that a blush I see?" I said laughing. Her head fell into her hands. I picked her up setting her down on the sofa." I'll tickle you if you don't tell," I said reaching for her sides." Okay I give in. When I first saw her, I-I f-felt.... butterflies in my little geeky heart." she said turning even more red.

" Well I'll have her get ready and we can all go to school, sounds good. Maybe I'll let her drive and you can sit in the front with her... alone." I said knowing it would make her even more nervous. I jogged to Danny's room. As soon as I was about to knock, Danny came out in a plain white tee, loose jeans with work boots, and a leather snap back.

" I'm ready. Oh well take my car," she said all cheerful." You want to take your truck? Are you sure?" I asked questionably." Well while you were talking to your girlfriend all night, I had my new car and my Ducati Tron sent to me." she said causally." Well let's go then, It's your first day. You don't want be late now..." I said.

" Oh and you're taking Emma to school. I have to go pick up my lady..." I said seeing Danny's face go nervous.

" Okay Danny so I'll see in my last 4 periods and lunch. What period do have first?" I asked." I have..." I saw her face change to a 'Oh no' face. I looked to where she her eyes were fixed. Four new gorgeous, slim model looking girls looking around. Until their eyes landed on Danny, Danny sprinted away." Where you going?" I asked Danny while she was still sprinting. The girls approached me and Emma.

" Excuse me do you know where that girl is going?" the Korean girl asked. Danny is part Korean and her style screams ..." I'm sorry, who are you," I asked." I'm Ji young and they are Jessica, Jasmine, and Allyson." Ji young said." I'm Danny's girlfriend," they all said at the same time. They all stared each other done and started fighting and arguing. While they fought, me and Emma walk to class.

As soon as I walked into class, I saw Gia giggling touching Ashley. At least there was peace in my first two periods." Today is just review so take out... Excuse me can I help you two ladies?" Ms. Dulce asked. Ugh two of the girls are in my class. After talking with Ms. Dulce, the two started walking towards empty seats. Ji young sat next to me." Okay just review notes with a partner." Ms. Dulce said.

" So why are you all chasing Danny?" I asked quickly turning to her." Danny was mine first. She stole my heart and while we starting talking, girls were trying to take her from me. I always tried to talk with her but all the girls crowded her. As we heard she transferred, a bunch tried to transfer but I and those other girls were allowed. I really don't know them." she said placing a strand of her silver hair back behind her ear.

" Well, you're gonna have to try and get to her before the others. When I say others I mean those three and well the girls here. They don't like the douche bags here..." I said." What do you have after this," I asked." Gym," she said." So does Danny." I said flashing my contagious smile. She smiled as well.

Danny's POV

I ran out to the field meeting Mattie in the football field." Coach, this is Danny. The one I've been telling you about." Mattie said to a sweet looking man." Pleasure to meet you Danny. I would like to see what you can do. How about a practice game?" He asked making me smile. I nodded." Gentlemen, gear up. Practice game." He yelled making me run where Mattie was headed.

I pulled on the gear along with a blue jersey like Mattie." Be receiver first, quarterback second, and defense third," Mattie said. We got into position." Hike," I sprinted juking the other teammates. I caught the ball reaching the touchdown zone. I fell into the wet grass hearing cheering from girls. We got back into formation ready." Hike!" I caught the ball, aiming it to the receiver.

I threw the ball with the receiver catching it, running to the touchdown. Another touchdown for my team. Mattie ran to me celebrating. A smile spread across my face. I felt eyes boring in the back of my head. Emma. I felt a blush come to my goofy cheeks. Something started blocking my view. Ji Young. My cute sweet Youngi. She walked over to me, stopping only a few inches away.

I pulled her into a comforting hug." I didn't give you permission to hug me..." she said while her voice cracked." Just a second, I miss you..." I said holding onto her tighter. I pulled away wiping her tears with my thumbs softly." Hold on, I'll be right back," I said jogging back to the team." I think Danny should be.... On my team. Congratulations you're one good player. We should start training with you soon." Coach said giving me a genuine smile. I felt a smile spread across my face making my dimples appear.

I felt happy but confused.... Ah who cares, when am I not confused?

I felt her foot slid over mine while Jasmine, Jessica stared at me. I felt Allyson pushed harder on my foot while Ji young intertwined our fingers. I felt stuck yet I didn't like the other girls. Just Ji young liked me and wanted to be with me. The others just wanted pleasure or just to use me." Okay well you boogers can pack up. You are dismissed," I grabbed my stuff pulling Ji young with me out the door.

" Are you doing anything tonight?" I asked walking her to her car." Nothing. I thought my sister was coming but she had plans with her friends." she said scratching her head cutely." Well maybe we could go out for dinner and we could go somewhere after." I said giving her my goofy smile." I'll go only if you give me... a kiss," she whispered in my ear, wrapping her arms around my neck. I leaned seeing her eyes closed like a little girl on her birthday.

I leaned in going for her soft spot that made her squeal and giggle." Hey that's my ticklish spot, but I'll go with you. Sarangi..." she said calling me love in Korean." I'll pick you up later then," I said leaving to my car. I walked over to my car but I felt like something was walking with me. I turned seeing Emma with a big frown." Are you okay?" I asked trying to help." Mattie left with Joanna, can I get a lift?"I nodded. I walked close to her just in case she breaks down or starts crying.

I accidentally touched her hand making chills go down my spine. I unlocked my car letting us both get in. I started my car driving back to the loft. As we drove, the silence became awkward. I turned on the radio hearing Drift by Alina Baraz. Alina's voice was so comforting and the way she sang was beautiful." Can we put it a little louder?" a soft voice asked." You like Alina too?" I asked receiving a little nod.

I turned the little knob hearing the music rise...

" You're like a wave, washing over me."

" Pulling me underneath..."

I stared at the waves feeling this relaxing vibe take over me. We reached the hill driving into the front. I felt so relaxed like I want to take a nap but my thoughts were interrupted by silent snores. Looks like Emma beat me to it. I got out walking to Emma's side opening the door. I unbuckled the seat belt picking her up. I walked to the front opening the door to the loft. I closed it behind me, I walked up the stairs to our side. I opened my room (Emma's old room) slowly placing her on my bed.

Her arms were still wrapped around my neck. As I tried to loosen her grip, she pulled me in closer smashing our cheeks together. She rolled her face, slowly planting her lips on mine.

The door slammed opened....
