Chapter 2

Trevor's POV

A few of the guards started talking.

"I think I know where they went?" the girl said.

"Ok where?" the man asked.

"Well I heard a woman saying how she saw a group of teenagers running to the hotel that's a few blocks away" she said.

"Ok you 5 go and see if you can find them" he said.

They nodded then left.

"Jacob" I said.

"You 3 come with me, we're gonna try to find these people" he said then showed them a few pictures.

They nodded then left.

"I hope they're all safe" I thought to myself.

Jacob's POV

We've been staying in a hotel for 4 days now. We thought that it'd be safe for us but Lilly noticed that a few people saw us. We were scared that they'd tell the military where we were so we left.

''This way!'' Ethan yelled.

We followed him. Ethan was taking us to his house. He said that he lived alone so we'd be safe there. It was farther away but we didn't mind. After we checked that all the doors were locked we went to the bedroom. I couldn't stop thinking about Trevor.

''Don't worry Jacob, we'll find a way to get Trevor out of there'' Lilly said.

I nodded. We didn't know much about each other so we asked each other questions.

''Why were you captured?'' Ethan asked me.

''My family and I have powers and I'm gay'' I replied.

He nodded.

''What kind of powers?'' Alison asked.

''Fire powers'' I answered.

''So you can control fire?'' Matthew asked.

I nodded.

''That might come in handy one day'' Ethan said.

We all agreed.

''What about you Ethan, why did they capture you?'' I asked.

''Different religion'' he replied.

''I was captured because of my religion too'' Lilly said.

"They captured me because of my religion and I'm bisexual" Alison said.

''Matthew?'' she asked.

''Hmm?'' he replied.

''Why were you captured?'' she asked.

''Religion" he replied.

''Does there need to be fire near you so you can use your power?'' Lilly asked me.

''No, I can make fire appear out of nowhere" I replied.

''Alright'' she said.

I let out a sigh.

''I know you're worried about Trevor, we all are but we have to stay alive so we can save him'' Alison said.

''I know'' I replied.

"It's getting late" Matthew said.

"Maybe 2 people should stay awake then after an hour we'll trade with someone else that way we can all get some sleep and stay alert at the same time" Lilly said.
