Jacob's POV
Trevor and I continued talking for a few hours. Everyone else was asleep. Normally there's 2 people who stay awake and keep an eye out for the guards but we all decided that we'd be safe for the night so they were all asleep. Since we were the only ones awake we had to whisper so we wouldn't wake them up.
"What time is it?" he asked.
I looked over at the clock.
"12:34 am" I replied.
"Really?" he asked.
"Yeah" I replied.
"Wow it feels like it's 8:34 pm" I said.
"Are you tired?" I asked.
"No" he replied.
"Why?, are you tired babe?" he asked.
"No" I replied.
He started shivering. I got out of bed.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"I'm gonna get a blanket" I replied.
"Ok" he said.
I walked over to the closet and grabbed one of the blankets. I put the blanket over him before laying down.
"Thanks babe" he said.
"No problem" I replied.
He turned around so we could face each other.
"Are you cold?" he asked.
"A little bit" I replied.
"Do you want to share the blanket?" he asked.
"Sure" I replied.
He moved the blanket so it'd be covering me too.
"Is it weird that even though we're hiding from the guards and all this bad stuff is going on, I'm just enjoying this moment we're having?" he asked.
"No, I'm enjoying the moment too" I replied.
"Plus I think that it's good that even though all the crazy stuff going on we can still find things that will make us happy" I said.
He smiled.
"I love you" he said.
"I love you too" I replied.
I leaned in and kissed him gently. We broke apart after a few minutes.
"You know how we were talking about leaving this town and finding a safe place to live?" I asked.
"Yeah" he replied.
"Why?" he asked.
"Do you think we'd still be with all of them or do you think we'd all separate and go our own ways after a while?" I asked.
"Maybe we'd all be together then after a couple of weeks or months it'd just be you, Andrew and me" he replied.
"Like a family" I said.
"Exactly" he replied.
"Wow" he said.
"What?" I asked.
"It's not every day that you talk about having a family with your boyfriend" he replied.
"Is it weird to talk about?" I asked.
"Sorry if it's weird for you" I said.
"No it's not weird it's just I didn't think I'd be having this conversation until a few years from now" he replied.
"I guess that's what happens when you're on the run and trying to stay hidden from people who wanna kill you" I said.
"Yeah I guess so" he replied.
"Seriously though if it makes you feel weird or uncomfortable just let me know and we can stop talking about it" I said.
"No it's fine, I mean it's definitely something that I'm not used to talking about but I would love to have a family with you" he replied.
I leaned in and kissed him. We broke apart after a while.
"I'd love to have a family with you too" I said.
He smiled then kissed my cheek.
"Is it weird that we're both 17 year olds who are talking about having a family?" I asked.
"Why'd you have to ruin the moment?" he asked.
"Sorry babe, that thought just appeared in my mind" I replied.
"It's ok" he said.
"But to answer your question to other people maybe but for us, what we're going through its not that weird" he said.
"Yeah I guess" I replied.
"What time is it?" he asked.
I looked at the clock.
"2:14 am" I replied.
"Maybe we should get some sleep" he suggested.
"Yeah probably" I replied.
I kissed his cheek. He turned around facing the other direction. I wrapped my arms around his waist.
"Night babe" I said.
"Good night baby" he replied.
After a few seconds we fell asleep.
