I watch the elevator numbers as they go lower and lower before the numbers turn to a capital "L". I step out of the lift, humming along to Somewhere In Neverland by All Time Low, as it was playing in my headphones. ((A/N)This is one of my fav songs of all time ((low)) so you should go listen to it tbh)

I entered the hallway and saw Mrs. Bosch across the room with a group of students. I saw Alyssa amongst the crowd and made my way over to her.

"Hey!" I said, tapping her shoulder.

"Oh, hey! How was your coffee?"

"Great, thanks. So, what did I miss?"

"Umm..." She looked to the ceiling, placing a single finger on her chin, thinking. "Not much really. Basically, at 1:00, mrs Bosch is going to release us and we will get a day in the city for fun. We could go shopping!" She squealed, nudging my shoulder.

"Oh sure! Fun." I said, trying to sound as happy as possible.

"Calm down, you'll love it. Anyway, anything happen upstairs I should know about?"

I though back to that boy in the hoodie. Thinking about it, his eyes were gorgeously intoxicating. They were a bright, electric blue, how I didn't get lost in them was a mystery.

"Well, I spilled some of my coffee on some guy walking down the hall." I said after forever.

"Ooh, was this 'some guy' cute?" She asked, suddenly becoming much more interested.

"I don't know really. He was in a black hoodie. All I saw were his eyes, and whah, they were amazing."

"Blue, am I right?"

"How'd you know?"

"Because, everyone falls in love with beautiful blue eyes. Seriously, they're like, magica-"

She was cut off by Mrs. Bosch starting to speak.

"Alright, it's 1:29, so you will be dismissed in one minute. You are all about to be given $300 from the school to spend however you'd like."

Three hundred dollars?

"Don't be dumb and spend it all in one place, or on one thing. Be wise with how you spend. Now, once you receive your envelope, you may go! Have fun, and your curfew is 11:00 sharp!"

As soon as the white paper envelope was in my grasp, I bolted out the door faster than you could say "I JUST GOT $300 FOR FREE!" which I was mentally screaming.

But as I exited the Waldorf Astoria, my heart dropped into my stomach and I stopped breathing. The streets were so crowded, so many people, how am I supposed to make it through this?

Just as I was about to faint, Alyssa grabbed my hand and said "It's okay, I'll help you get through this." She smiled and threw her arm around me in a friendly manner, and we started walking across the street along with a crowd of other people.

After a day of shopping, eating, laughing, and genuinely having a good time, we went back to the hotel, exhausted from the great things that happened.

When we got back, I told Alyssa to go ahead to the room. I wanted to get a cup of ice water from the bar.

I walked to the table and was greeted by the bartender. She was an older woman, probably in her 30's or 40's. Still, he looked pretty good for her age, if I guessed correctly. Her hair was red and pulled into a messy bun, and she was wearing a purple shirt under her black apron.

"What can I get for ya, sweetie?" She had an accent, it sounded like she was from Boston, maybe.

"Can I just get some ice water?"
