Chapter 4; Meeting Shannon

04.30Am. Sówïe lays wide-awake she has only been able to sleep about 1 hour. Her thoughts are keeping her awake. She thinks of Sweden, and her parents, her now probably x-best friend, she even thinks of her sister Alice. Why did all this happen to me? What have I done to deserve this? Did I do the right thing moving here? I wonder what Sophia is thinking? I just left without saying goodbye, she must hate me!

‘Hey, take a breath please.’

All of a sudden Jared’s voice and words from the day before pop up in her head. And then she start going thru what happened yesterday, with Jared. I’m such a dork. She thought and kicked of her cover and slid her legs over the edge of the bed and placed her feet’s on the floor. She sat there a moment then raised and walked out to the kitchen, and made some hot chocolate and then placed her ass in front of the TV. But at 05.00Am there isn’t much good to look at so she turned on MTV right from the start. It didn’t take much longer than 15 minutes and then she was out, she fell asleep on the couch.

She woke by the sound that someone buzzed on her door, down on the street. She kicked her legs of the sofa and walked over to the door, pushing the button.

‘What? Who is it?’ She said annoyed over the fact that she’s been woken, when she had finally been able to fall asleep. She didn’t know what the time was now though.

‘Did I wake you?’ the voice answered? Sówïe freeze by the recognition of the voice.

‘What are you doing here?’ she asked with a confused voice.

‘Let me in!’ He demanded.

‘Why?’ she asked him.

‘Ohh never mind, someone is coming out now, see you soon.’ He said into the port phone.

‘NO, JARED. DON’T COME UP.’ Sówïe screamed thru the phone, but she got no answer. CRAP she thought, and looked around the messy apartment. And she was still in her PJ’s. Luckily she realized that the door is locked. She went to the bedroom and put on a big sweatshirt and then she tried to clean up a little, but then there was a knock on her door. ‘Sówïe open up.’ Jared’s voice said on the other side of the door. Sówïe slowly walked over to the door and twisted the lock open. Jared opened the door and walked inside. Now he was standing right in front of Sówïe.

‘Hey’ he said with a big smile.

‘Hey yourself! But what are you doing here?’ She asked confused.

‘I was curious about how you live’ he said with a small grin, while looking around the living room area ‘It looks……nice’. Sówïe just watched him with a cocked brow.

‘Nice’ she said in disbelief ‘It looks awful’ she said slightly ashamed, over the mess she was living in. Jared just smiled at her and his icy eyes sparkled. Sówïe looked up at him.

‘Now tell me why you are here!’ she said with a determined voice.

‘Well I wanted to ask if you would like to come to Shannon’s birthday party today?!’ He asked her looking into her clear-blue eyes, just a bit darker than his own ones.

‘Why? I don’t know him, and I don’t know you, I just meet you!’ She asked back in confusion.

‘Well you’re right, but see it as an opportunity to get to know me, us!’ He said calmly with a smile.

‘Okay, then why come here in person and not call?’ Sówïe asked.

‘Because I know where you live and I don’t have your number.’ He said and sat down on the sofa.
