Chapter 12; What to do

There was a knock on the door to Jared's hotel room.

'Hey Jared, open the door!' Shannon shouted from the other side. Jared rose from his chair, walked over to the door, and opened it.

'What is it Shan?' Jared asked with a raised eyebrow.

'Have you 2 read any news today?' Shannon asked carefully hoping they hadn't.

'Yes we have seen it and Sówïe locked herself in the bathroom.' Jared said and turned around and walked back to his breakfast. Shannon followed him and sat down on a chair.

'Is she okay?' He asked apprehensive, while looking at Jared.

'Yes I think so, she probably just need to let it sink in!' Jared said and took a sip of his tea.

'Okay. Do you mind if I go talk to her?' Shannon asked wonderingly.

'No, go ahead!' He said while staring on the same spot on the table. Shannon looked at his brother with a weird look and then he rose and walked over to the bathroom.

'Sówïe can I please come in?!' He said after knocking on the door. Sówïe opened the door and let him in then she sat down on the edge to the bathtub.

'Are you okay?' He asked her and sat down beside her.

'Yeah, I'm fine! It just came as a surprise that...crap I should have known. It's just I'm not use to this. I'm just a photographer I never get that kind of attention from those kind of magazines. And I don't know if either of us is really ready for this, it's such a big responsibility, having a baby. So I really don't want the whole world to know...and now I have to do this...or everyone will know, and they'll judge me!' She rambled on while looking down at the floor. Shannon just sat looking at her rambling on and on, he smiled softly to himself, he really liked her and he was so happy that everyone knows about her and Jared. Sówïe looked over at Shannon who lost his smile.

'Can't I just say that I'm simply fat, or that I had a big lunch? I don't want this pressure hanging over me.' She said kind of broken down & looking into Shannon's eyes.

'No you can't say that! What you can do it tell the truth...let everyone know, and really commit to this, that you and my brother are gonna have a baby!' He said and smiled.

'Dude, you're crazy! I will never do that! Then again...I'm not exactly getting any smaller, am I?! But still I don't want to admit it to the world just yet.' She said still just kind of spitting the words out of her mouth. Then she raised her head and looked straight into Shannon's eyes, and looked at him for a moment.

'Do you remember when we first meet?' She asked him unexpectedly.

'Yeah of course I do! Why?' He said slightly confused looking back straight into her eyes.

'Do you remember the morning after?' She then asked, not answering his question.

'Yes! I stopped you from leaving! You were just gonna sneak out of the house without saying anything. Probably the best thing I ever did!' He said and smiled.

'Yeah that's right, the best thing you ever did! I am so grateful for you stopping me that day, cause I would probably not be here if it wasn't for you! I've always trusted you, so maybe I should trust you now too and tell the truth?!' She said with a soft voice.

'Girl, that warms my heart! But do you know what?! Let's give that assignment to Jared! Then you won't need to be the one, and if this doesn't work out, you can blame him!' He said with a smile and he put his arm around her shoulder.

'Shannon...you're a genius! And thank you!' She said smiling.

'For what?' He asked still with a sweet smile on his face.
