Chapter 14; A weird turn

As you may remember, Sówïe was on her way over to Jared’s house…

Sówïe stood still with her car at a traffic light waiting for it to turn green, when she started to think and it wasn’t exactly happy thoughts. The light turned yellow, she stared at it her eyes filled with tears, and when it turned green, she continued straight instead of turning towards Jared’s place. She turned left up on her driveway and then rushed in, went straight to her closet and started packing some of her things. She took her bag and went back towards the front door, she turned around and looked about her place then she turned back, left for her car, and drove away. About 30 minutes later she parked at LAX, but she had no idea where she was going, only that she needed to leave. She went inside and looked at the Arrivals/Departures board to find a place to go, she stared at it and then Honolulu popped up on the screen and she knew right then, that’s where she should go so she went to get a seat on a plane, she got one for tonight but it leaves in 3 hours. So she parked her ass on a stool at a café. 45 minutes later at 3.45pm, Sówïe’s phone started ringing, she picked it up and looked at the display showing Jared’s number, she took a deep breath and then she answered.

‘Hey J! What’s up?!’ She said trying to sound somewhat normal.

‘Hey yourself, where are you? We miss you here!’ He said with his lovely voice. Sówïe’s heart dropped what felt like to the floor.

‘I’m still at the studio, I’ll be done in maybe an hour!’ She lied and she felt so bad. Then someone started talking on the speakers at the airport.

‘What was that?’ Jared said suspicious.

‘It was the radio! Jared I really need to go, or I’ll never get done!’ She said.

‘Okay, sure. I’ll see you later, I can’t wait! I love you!’ He said in a sweet voice.

‘I love you too!’ She said with her eyes turning watery and she thought ‘and I’ll miss you!’And then she hung up.

Sówïe sat at her stool another 30 minutes and then her phone rang again, again shoving Jared’s number, she answered again but with a bad feeling.

‘Sówïe where the fuck are you?! Haley said you left the Studio over 2 hours ago!’ he said with a slightly worried but also angry voice. Sówïe didn’t say anything.

‘Come on S talk to me! Please don’t do this! I’m on my way over to your house!’ Jared said with frustration.

‘I’m not there! I’m so sorry Jared but you have to let me go.’ She said with tears falling from her light blue eyes.

‘No Sówïe, don’t say that I don’t want to lose you, please, please don’t do this to me! Did I do something?’ He said and Sówïe could hear he started to cry.

‘OMG please don’t cry! And no Jared you didn’t do anything, this is just how I am! I’m awful and I can’t believe I’m doing this to you, you are such an amazing man and I love you with all my heart, I do…but I really have to leave and don’t ask me why, I just have to! God I really hope you will be able to forgive me…’ She said trying her best not to cry.

‘Goodbye Jared’ She said and took the phone from her ear.

‘Sówïe don’t’ Jared shouted thru the phone and she heard it but then she hung up.

She got up and walked over to the check-in counter and left her bag there then made her way to the toll’s, she made it to the gate and there she sat down waiting to board the plane. With 30 minutes left before take-off, they started the boarding. About 6.5 hours after take-off Sówïe took her bag of the luggage track and left the airport she climbed into a cab and told the cabdriver to go to a nice hotel. During the drive, she turned her phone on and she had several missed calls, from not only Jared but also Shannon and Tomo. Shannon had even left a voice message. Sówïe what the hell! Why? Fuck girl you’re breaking our hearts…Please call me! The cab stopped at a hotel and Sówïe paid the driver and then entered the hotel and fixed a room. She picked up her bag and went to her room she undressed and went to bed. The next day she woke up at 9am she left the bed and got dressed and then she walked down for breakfast. Later she walked down to the beach and started walking along the shoreline then all of a sudden, her phone started ringing, and she picked it up from her pocket, looked at the display, which showed Shannon’s number and then she touched the green phone and put it against her ear but stayed silence.

‘Sówïe! Girl where are you?’ Shannon said on the other end.

‘Shannon, I’m not going to tell you that! You guys just have to forget about me, I need to be alone right now!’ She saidback feeling so stupid and mean.

‘S…Jared’s missing too. We had to cancel the show last night.’ Shannon said, and at that moment Sówïe stopped made a disappointed face and then she turned around. She looked at a man standing on the beach about 16 yards away, wearing a hat and sunglasses.

‘You don’t have to worry about him, he is here!’ Sówïe said disappointed.

‘Goodbye Shannon!’ She added and hung up.

She turned back around and continued walking, she turned her head back at a few times and then she saw him running and she started running too, as fast as she could. After 5-10 minutes of running he caught her left arm and pulled her to a halt, she still had her back to him and he kept his hand around her wrist then he walks around to her front.

‘What are you doing?’ He asks confused, Sówïe looks up at him.

‘I’m taking a walk on the beach!’ She said slightly annoyed.

‘I mean what are you doing here?!’ He said.

‘I know exactly what you mean, I’m not stupid! But I don’t want to talk about it!’ She said.

‘Well, you can’t just leave without saying anything and then expect me to do nothing! I want and explanation’ He said frustrated and looking straight into Sówïe eyes.

‘I know you do, but I don’t have one to give you! Now please leave me alone!’ She said and started walking away down the beach.

‘No, you can’t do this to me. Don’t you dare walk away from me. Sówïe for god’s sake, tell me what’s going on!’ He calls after her and then starts walking after her. Sówïe turns around when he is right behind her and shoves him in the chest hard, making him stumbles a few steps backwards.

‘I know you want to know what’s going on, but I can’t tell you cause I don’t know! All I can say is that I need to be alone for a while, so please, please leave me here and I will come back when I’ve figured this out!!’ She said and turned back around and walks away again. Jared was left on the beach holding his chest where she shoved him, he looked after her until she was out of sight. Then he sank down on the beach and started starring out over the ocean. His head felt empty all he could think was Keep breathing!

When i posted this one I had just been on vacation on Grand Canaria for 2 weeks and I wrote this;  Oh man all I want is to go back, the SUN the WARMTH the AMAZING PEOPLE as company, with a line like No Worries Just Happiness it was 2 of the best weeks in my life! It’s amazing how wonderful the sun is and how it makes you feel so good! :)
