Draco's P.O.V.

Hours later the train arrived at Hogsmeade Station. I got off the train and stood on the platform looking around for Blaise Zabini, I saw him get off the train then I went to find a carriage for us to ride in. I wanted to get away from Pansy Parkinson as fast as I could. The first carriage I came to, when I opened the door, Hermione and Ron were inside already. He was kissing her neck while she looked immensely uncomfortable. Anger swelled inside me again and I had to fight the urge to push him away from her. 'But he is with her. He's her boyfriend.' I glared at Weasley, shut the door and walked away. I walked past Potter and the Weasley girl on my way to find an empty carriage, after finding one, I sat in it waiting for Blaise.
He found me a few minutes later, got in and sat in silence with me. The carriage lurched forward and we were off, I looked up at the newly rebuilt castle, and to my surprise I saw a new tower. My curiosity most likely matched everyone else's, why was there a new tower anyways? I shrugged. I suppose the Headmistress would let us know why.
When we got to the doors, Blaise and I hopped out of the carriage and walked up the stone steps through the Great Doors. We made our way to the Great Hall for the Sorting and the Feast. We made our way to the Slytherin table and sat at the end of the table away from everyone else. It looked to me as if they were quite happy for us not to be near them, and it didn't bother us either. I watched as Hermione entered the Great Hall with Weasley and Potter, the Weasley girl trailing behind them. Weasley slipped his arm around Hermione's waist as they walked to the Gryffindor table. I could feel the rage burning inside me again as he touched her. 'He doesn't deserve her at all.'
Hermione sat down at the table facing me, she glanced at me, blushed, then hurriedly looked away from me. I continued to look at her, I studied her, seeing her as I didn't see her before. Her hair had gotten longer, curlier, she had filled out her body over the summer, she had lost weight in her waist, making her look slimmer than she had in previous years. Her eyes were just as brown as ever, with just a hint of gold when she turned her head in just the right light. I smiled just a little bit while I was looking at her. Just then Professor McGonagall stood up to give her speech.
"First Years, Welcome! To everyone else, welcome back! Now as this is start of term, our Caretaker, Mr. Filch, has reminded me that all Weasley Wizard Wheezes products are prohibited. Also, everyone should know that the Forbidden Forest is out of bounds to all students." She looked out at everyone, and gave them a small smile. "Now, tuck in! Enjoy the feast everyone! Oh! Would the Head Boy and Head Girl see me after the feast please?" She gave Hermione a look, and then looked at me. The feast appeared on the tables and everyone dug in.
After the feast was over and everyone started heading up to their common rooms to go to sleep, or to stay up and celebrate being back since it was a Friday. Classes didn't start until Monday. I started heading up to the front of the Great Hall and saw Hermione doing the same.

Hermione's P.O.V.

I walked up to Headmistress McGonagall, curious to see what she wanted to tell the two of us. I glanced over at Draco to see him already looking at me. I blushed and looked away from him. Not wanting him to make a snide comment about me checking him out all night. We both made it up to her at the same time and waited for her to speak.
"I hope the two of you had a good break?" she asked. Looking at me first and then Draco.
We both nodded so she continued.
"As you both now know, the two of you are Head Boy and Girl. Neither of you know though, that you will be sharing a common room with each other. You must be civil towards each other or there will be punishment." she told us sharply.
I looked at her in shock. "B-But you're not serious?! Professor?" I asked.
"I am quite serious Miss Granger. You and Mr. Malfoy will be sharing a common room. Now it is on the Third floor behind the picture of of the wolf. The password is 'Lemon Drops'. Goodnight you two." and she swept off without a glance back.
"Lets go then." I mumbled to him. As we walked, I glanced over at Draco and I noticed he didn't have a smirk on his face. Just a determined look. I wondered what was going through his mind. 'Draco looks good this year.' I thought to myself. 'Wait!! When did he become Draco to me?? This is Malfoy!! The boy who teased me endlessly and made my life a living hell for six years!' I shook my head to rid myself of the betraying thoughts going through my head.
As we approached our common room, I saw him sneak a glance at me too. I smiled to myself as we got to the giant picture of a beautiful black wolf. I said the password and we entered the common room, I gasped at what I saw. The common room was Black and Purple all around. My two favorite colors! I looked around and saw a huge fireplace, with a couch and two cushy looking armchairs in front of it. I looked around even more and saw huge bookcases lining all three walls, each one was filled with numerous books. There was a door in one corner of the room, I walked over to it and saw that it is a small kitchen. In the other corner of the room, I saw a guitar and a violin. I played the violin well but never even tried to play the guitar. I glanced at Draco and he noticed the guitar too.
He smiled and walked over to the guitar, he picked it up and strummed it a bit. He glanced over at me watching him and gave a a genuine smile.
"You play guitar?" I asked in shock.
"I do. Do you play the violin?" He asked me, looking surprised when I nodded. After a minute he asked me, "D-Do you want to play a song with me?"
"Sure." I said with a smile at him. I walked over to the violin and started to play a song by my favorite artist, Lindsey Stirling. I had learned her compilation of The Phantom of the Opera music. I played with as much passion that I usually played with. I didn't even think about Draco as I played for the next few minutes.
When I was finished I dropped the violin by my side and started to blush when I realized that Draco had been watching me the whole time I had been playing. He looked at me as if I were the most amazing person he had ever seen. I looked away, waiting for a rude remark, but instead, he walked up to me and looked me in the eyes.
"That was the most beautiful thing I had ever heard in my whole life." he whispered to me. Only then did I realize that he had tears in his eyes as he looked at me. Then he blushed and looked away from me. I smiled, glancing at him.
"Was that muggle music?" he asked me suddenly.
"Y-Yes." I stuttered. "That- that was from a movie actually. A muggle movie."
He nodded. "What is a movie?" He asked me, sitting down on the couch, looking at me.
I explained it to him as best I could. I answered all of the questions he had about the muggle world, smiling the whole time.

Draco's P.O.V.

'She is absolutely brilliant.' I thought to myself as I asked her questions about the muggle world. She was patient with my ignorance, but good-natured about it. She smiled the whole time, causing me to smile in return. 'She's so beautiful too.' I could feel myself becoming warm and bubbly. I could feel a fire in my chest I wasn't sure I could control for much longer.
After a while, I ran out of questions to ask her. So we both decided to check out our rooms. Mine was to the left and hers was to the right up a set of stairs. I walked into my bedroom to see a lot of emerald green everywhere, the bed was a massive king size with silk sheets. I was excited to lay down and fall asleep in my new bed. At that point I saw two doors, I opened to the first door and saw that it was a walk in closet. I went to the next door and found a huge bathroom. The bathtub was more like a swimming pool, with faucets everywhere, some I knew, contained different smelling perfumed water. 'I think I will take a bath before I turn in for the night.' I thought to myself. I looked around some more and saw a shower that could easily fit three people comfortably. Two sinks-  'Wait.... Two sinks?' One was lined with silver and the other with gold. Same for the mirrors.
I turned at the sound of a door opening. Hermione had the same idea I had.
"I guess we will be sharing a bathroom then, huh?" She asked me blushing.
"I suppose we are Gran- Hermione..." I said softly.
She looked at me like I had sprouted wings. Her mouth was open into a small, pink 'o'.
"What?" I asked her, a slight blush creeping up into my cheeks.
"Y-You c-called me... Hermione..." She stuttered, her face going even redder.
"I did... Well we might as well be on a first name basis shouldn't we? Since we will be seeing each other everyday. Right?" I asked cautiously.
"Right..." She said, slowly. "Draco...?" She tested it out, nearly sounding like she was savoring my name in her mouth. I felt butterflies flutter in my stomach and throat. Loving the way she said my name, my eyes nearly fluttered shut at the sound of her voice saying it.
I smiled at her. "I-If you don't mind Hermione, I would like to take a bath before bed."
"Oh! Y-Yes of course Draco." She stuttered. "Um, Goodnight then Draco." She smiled, and left the bathroom. I stripped off my clothes, wrapped a towel around my waist and started turning on the water, steam rising from it since the water is so warm.
After my bath, I went into my bedroom and laid down on the bed. I fell asleep thinking about Hermione, I couldn't help but think about how beautiful she looked today.
