My head was thumping and my throat was so dry. I opened my eyes and thankfully it was raining so it was dim enough not to sting. Harkin must have left because there was no sign of him or the clothes in the room.
I sat up to find a letter and a glass of orange juice sitting on the bedside table.

Good morning,
Sorry I left so early, have work to do. I left you a glass of orange juice and two painkillers for your headache. Just to let you know, we didn't do anything last night but it was hard not to.
See you soon,
Harkin x

Katy's belly swirled with joy. This was like the beginning of a fairytale for her. What she always wished for, the guy, the best friend and a place to call home.
Hazel burst through the bedroom door in tears which made Katy jolt up.
"What's wrong? What happened?" Katy put out her arms to Hazel. Never had she seen Hazel cry this bad before.
"Aaron's ex....." Then she burst into tears again. Katy rubbed her hand up and down Hazel's back comforting her hoping she'd get to find out what was getting her bestfriend so upset.
"Ok, calm down, take a deep breath and then try again." She said quietly.
"Aaron's ex had phoned him and said she was 5months pregnant. He wants to work things out with her and be there there for the baby." Hazel was crying even more now and Katy was infuriated. What a pig!
"So what's going to happen with you?"
"He said its over he didn't love me and it was just a bit of fun." Katy hugged Hazel and text her boss saying there was a family matter so she couldn't make it in.
"Ok let's get you cleaned up, go to the hairdressers get ourselves sorted and go out!" Hazel shook her head to the idea.
"I really thought he was the one Kate. He really made me feel good about myself and..."
"Stop! You don't need a lowlife scum like him in your life! We're going out Hazel!" Katy jumped out of bed and walked towards her closet. Hazel wiped her tears and laughed at the sight. Katy's shorts were pulled so far up that the band was around her belly button and you could see the bottom of her butt.
"See you're laughing already, don't worry we're gonna have fun."

They both got their hairs done and got new dresses. Hazel was still down but Katy was trying her best by singing way out of tune to Hazel's favourite F.O.B. Songs.
"What about Harkin? Do you guys have plans?" The girls were back in Katy's room getting ready to go out.
"Nope and if he thinks on making plans at the last second he can jog on, my hoe before that bro." She said turning and winking at Hazel.
The girls were ready to hit the nightclub, The Palace.
Hazel's long chocolate coloured hair was straightened and rested perfectly down her back. She had her favourite boot heels with her checkered dress.
Katy's blonde hair only fell just below her shoulders but it was straightened too. She had her skin coloured heels on with her netted white dress.

After a load of shots and dancing Hazel called Katy over to the bar. Swerving through the crowds of drunk people Katy rested on the bar next to her.
"I want a fag. Do you want to share a box with me?" Katy nodded, the girls only smoked when they were drunk and they were heading that way now.
When they got to the smoking room they picked the spot at the big glass window looking down at the dance floor in the nightclub. Katy could feel her phone vibrating in her bra and squirmed to get it out. She missed 5 calls from Harkin and had 7 text messages.
"Oopsy." She giggled.
"What? Are you late going back home to daddy?" Hazel questioned.
"Nope, ha, missed Harkin's calls."
She opened them up and didn't even look at the messages, her eyes were focused on that one girl grinding on someone on the dance floor.
Katy threw down her cigarette and stormed out of the smoking room leaving Hazel by herself.

I reached the corner of the dance floor and I knew I wasn't seeing things. Scarlette was grinding all over Harkin!
Why would he do this to me?
His eyes caught onto hers and he pushed Scarlette away.
"Katy, please let me explain!" He shouted trying to chase after her.
She didn't turn around to look at him and she definitely didn't want him to explain, she seen more than enough.
Running up the steps to get to the smoking room where she had left Hazel, Katy slipped and fell holding onto the top step.
"Here let me help you." Harkin tried lifting her up under her arms. Pushing him away along with her tears she shouted, "piss off! Don't you ever touch me again!"
Katy got up and ran to where she could see Hazel. Hazel smiled at the sight of Katy then ran towards her when she noticed her crying.
Katy fell into Hazel's arms and balled her eyes out. Harkin behind her shaking his head.
"What the fuck did you do to her!" Hazel shouted whilst sitting Katy down on a dry stool.
"If she would just let me explain, please I need to talk to her." Hazel snapped back around to Harkin with fire in her eyes.
"I told you if you hurt her I'd hunt you down and torture you! Now explain to me what the fuck you did!" Harkin stepped back, there was the feisty side of Hazel which everyone knew not to mess with. He shook his head and lit up a cigarette.
The whole night was a mess. It was meant to be great and to keep Hazel's mind off of Aaron but instead slut features had to grind upon Harkin. And the worst part was he let her!!!

Scarlette showed up behind Harkin with her hands on her hips. "Why don't you just tell her!"
"Shut up Scarlette! Just go back to the bar!" Scarlette's face dropped, she slapped Harkin on the back of his head and stormed off.
"Tell me what?" Katy asked pushing her tears away. Hazel stood beside Katy not sure if she should stay or go. Harkin looked at Hazel and hinted for her to leave. "Want me to go chicken wing?" She asked Katy placing her hand on Katy's shoulder. Katy looked at Harkin and nodded. If she was to do this then she wanted to do it by herself, at least have something she could say she did by herself. Hazel walked down the stairs back to the nightclub.
"Now tell me!" Katy shouted.
Harkin shuffled off his stool and stood in front of her.
"Did you read my texts?" He asked smoothly. She shook her head, "what's that got to do with this?"
"I tried ringing you and I texted you. I was apologising, I came here looking for you cause Tim said you'd be here, but instead I found Scarlette! I'm so sorry but whenever I start drinking she's hard to resist." Katy stood up and slapped him across the face.
"I'm sorry but when I'm drunk and an idiot is standing in front of me it's hard to resist!" With that she walked back to the nightclub.

Katy met back up with Hazel and the both girls left to go to a different nightclub. Katy's way of getting rid of pain like this was through drink.
The drinks were going down fast and so was her pain, Hazel was already hooking up with a new guy in the club and Katy stayed at the bar with her shots and widow maker in front of her.
Everything started to become blurry and the room felt like it was spinning.
"Are you ok?" A guy standing at the bar asked.
"Yeah, I think I need to go home." Katy responded standing up and finished her drinks.
"Here let me get you a taxi." The guy was on his phone straight away asking for a taxi.
"Where do you live?" He asked looking down at Katy.
"No it's ok I gotta get my friend anyway, I'm staying in hers." Katy stumbled away.
Her head felt so heavy and it felt like it was impossible to walk in a straight line especially with these shoes on. She couldn't find Hazel anywhere so resulted in heading outside to get herself a taxi back home.
As soon as she left the nightclub it was as if she hit a wall.
