Enjoy,
Thank you x

Katy pressed her head against the steering wheel. Why am I so stupid! I always have to pick the ones who having more problems than they're worth!
Katy kept trying to convince herself that Harkin O'neil was just a waste of time and space. He's only interested in his money and his image, why would he ever care about me?

Katy's phone hopped up and down ringing on the dash of the car.
Hazel
Shit! What will I say?

"Hello?"
"Katy I gotta talk to you asap, where are you?"
"I'm just outside the library, want me head to yours?"
"No! Don't do that! Stay there, I'll be a few minutes!"
And with that Hazel hung up.
Katy was trying to figure out what was wrong with Hazel. Never would she want Katy not to head to the house or demand to speak to her so urgently unless there was something seriously wrong.
Katy's mind trailed off again thinking about Mr O'neil. His amazing figure kept going through her mind. Oh and that time we went for a stroll and he cut his knee so he used his t-shirt to stop the bleeding. Harkin's body, mmmm.
"Katy open the door!"
Katy bounced back to reality from the sound of Hazel's voice.
She let her in and Hazel was pouring with sweat.
"Are you ok?" Katy asked concerned.
"No I'm not. I need to speak with Harkin and right now you're the only one who can get close enough to him so please bring me there." Katy frowned, did she really have to go to his house after last weeks episode. Looking back at Hazel, Katy nodded and started the car. There must be a good explanation for this.

Hazel was silent the entire time which made Katy feel on edge.
"What has you so silent?" Hazel turned quickly to face Katy.
"I'll have to explain after I'm really sorry chicken." Katy sighed but carried on driving. What else was she meant to do?

They reached his house but Hazel wouldn't step out of the car.
"I need you to come in there with me. James won't let me in I've tried by myself."
Katy took in a deep breath and stepped out.
"Ok let's do this."
Her hands were shaking and she just wanted to know what had Hazel all worked up.
"Katy, would you like to come inside?" James asked opening the door wider.
"Yes please, and Hazel's coming in with me." She said strongly, James nodded and gave a half smile to Hazel.
He took their jackets and pointed them to the living area. Hazel walked in straight away but James caught Katy's arm before she could go further. "You know he's going to flip at her being here." Katy brushed him off and smiled.
"I know James, but she's got something important to say to him." Katy walked to the door but froze when she heard a great, loud, bang.
The door swung open and Hazel stormed out, grabbing her coat she left the house and took Katy's car, leaving her there clueless.
"JAMES!!!" Harkin's voice boomed from the room.
James rushed inside and that's when Katy decided she wasn't going to let him take the blame.
"I made James let Hazel in!" She said striding into the living area.
Harkin turned fast and looked at Katy's frowned face.
James looked down at the floor and stayed quiet. Katy followed James's eyes to see Scarlette laying on the floor with blood pumping out of her arm. Harkin stood above Scarlette, whilst taking to someone on the phone.
Katy froze, not knowing what to do, what to say or how to react. She could feel the heat draining from her face and her heart started to race.
"Katy, are you ok?" James asked, rushing to her side.
"Wh....what.... What happened here?"  Katy put out her arms to grab something to steady herself. She never did well with the sight of blood and right now there's blood covering most of Harkin's rug.
James walked Katy to the closest armchair and sat her down in it.
There was some flashing lights beaming through the windows. James scurried out the front door to whoever it was. By this time Harkin had finished on the phone and was by Scarlette's side.
Paramedics ran into the living area and started helping Scarlette straight away.
Harkin whispered with one of them, he nodded with a slight smile and then started to walk towards Katy.
"Come into my study, I'll explain." Katy looked up at Harkin reaching his hand out to her.
Katy followed him to the study and sat in front of the fire immediately.
"Would you like a drink of something to steady you out?" Katy shook her head. She just wanted to know what happened with Hazel and why Scarlette was bleeding.
Harkin sat across from her but kept his eyes focused on her fragile image right now.
"Ok well, how much do you know already?" He asked trying to get Katy's attention.
Her brows furrowed and she looked at him. "All I know is Hazel was really worked up with whatever she had to say to you."
"Katy, Hazel came over tonight because Scarlette text her saying she was here with me." He took in a deep breath then carried on...
"She came here to confront me, for seeing Scarlette when I should've been thinking about you. But Scarlette wasn't here to see me...." Harkin stopped for he was interrupted from someone knocking the door. In walked one of the paramedics, he explained to Harkin that it was only a flesh wound, Scarlette was going to be fine.
Harkin settled back into his chair and looked at the doorway, Scarlette stumbled in. She had a sulky face on her and her upper arm was bandaged up.
"Your friend is a psycho! And when my lawyers are done with her she'll be so sorry!" Harkin stood up and stared at her. His eyes looked sharp and narrowed on her as he clenched his fists.
"Hazel wasn't aiming for you anyway! Just go home Scarlette!" He shouted and with that she scurried out the room like a little mouse. Katy was now shaking, Hazel shot Scarlette. But if she wasn't aiming for Scarlette then she must have been aiming for Harkin!
"Katy!" She looked up at Harkin who was now kneeling by her side.
"Hazel was going to shoot me but Scarlette got in the way. I'm not mad at her and I'm dealing with the guards right now but we really need to find Hazel."
Who was Scarlette here to see if it wasn't Harkin? And why would she send those sort of texts to Hazel then? Katy stood up trying to stop herself from shaking to much. "She's my best friend I'll find her! And when I do if you don't explain all this shit to me I'll be leaving with her!" Harkin stood up and was surprised with what she just said. It hurt him to hear her say she'd be gone too. Was it because he knew she would actually leave?
"I'm coming with you then." He said and headed for the door.
