~5 years later~

“Galia dear, wake up, we are going to see your mother” he shook his daughter awake from her soft warm bed. Her eyes fluttered open and a smile of excitement spread across her face, she jumped up and down on her bed enthusiastically and hugged her father tight, her golden curls bouncing along.

“Really? What will mother get me this time? Is it a comb? A necklace? A cute bracelet? Or even a tiara!” she cheered, jumping up and down continuously on her bed.

“Now, now, calm down little Galia, you don’t want to get hurt do you?” his father asked, she slowly shook her head and sat back down on her bed.

“Is mother going to bring Auntie Penelope along? Or perhaps Auntie Styrene or Auntie Regina!” she wondered, her little finger tapping on her chin. She jumped down from her bed and slipped on her slippers and immediately began to run. “Come on, papa! You’re slow like a turtle, I want to see mother!” she exclaimed in the middle of the door, her hands rose in the air, waving it side wards.

“Galia! Behave yourself or we’ll stay at home” scolded his father, his forefinger pointing at the girl and his face frowned. Galia lowered her head in shame, her hands we’re down and her eyes began to be teary. His father calmed and approached his daughter carefully, he bent down on one knee and placed 2 fingers on her daughter’s chin, forcing her to look at him. “Sweetheart, I don’t want you to get hurt okay? Remember what happened the last time?” his voice was soft and smooth, her daughter nodded her little head. “Well, I don’t want you to have another bruise, because mother would be angry to me again. You don’t want us to fight, do you?” her daughter shook her head and lowered it again in shame,

“But I want to be with my mother” she said, rather wistful. She sniffed and choked back the tears,

“Don’t cry little Galia, I’ll buy you an ice cream later if you want” his daughter looked up with her puppy dog eyes,

“Really?” she sniffed once more and rubbed her nose

“Of course, anyways, your daddy’s little girl!” Galia cheered and hugged her father tightly “Now, go downstairs without running” he stood back up and sighed, Galia slowly made her way to the kitchen.

She stood on her toes and her little fingers were stretched upwards, trying to reach the cupboard where the cereal was kept. She sighed, and then spotted a wooden stool beside her. She crossed an arm over her chest and her little finger was tapping her chin. She snapped her finger and smiled, she slowly dragged the stool and stepped up on it. She then stretched up her fingers once more and successfully reached the knob of the cupboard; she opened it slowly and pulled out a box of cheerios.

“Galia! Goodness, what are you doing?!” his father ran into the kitchen, in his hands he held a newspaper. He placed the newspaper on the counter and pulled Galia out of the stool, giving her a hug.

“But papa, I am only want this bag of cheerios” she rose her hands and showed his father a small box of cheerios.

“But you should have asked me, young one. You know that you might trip out of the stool, especially that it’s crooked!” he pointed on the chair, her daughter turned and looked back at the stool. Its feet began to break  and stumbled on the ground with a loud thud. “See! What if I haven’t got you down from there in time? You could’ve get hurt!” his father scolded, little Galia began to cry. Tears began sliding down her cheeks, she placed her head over her father’s shoulder and sniffed.

“I only wanted the cheerios, I thought if I ask you, you will be angry to me” she cried, she wiped her tears away with her knuckles.

“Don’t worry, my little princess. I would never be angry to you” her father’s words we’re soothing, he made her face him.
