Of course, she was shocked. She never expected Laura would do such thing. Akala n'ya masosolo n'ya na si Rake at magagawa n'ya ang plano rito kung paano ipapahinto ang kasal kay Laura.

That would be the most pleasurable thing to hear if ever happen. Napalingon s'ya sa dalawa, as soon as Rebekah's eyes turned to her direction, her body shivered; like this child was sucking her sanity.

Napahinto na lamang s'ya sa pagtingin nang biglang magsalita si Laura. "Ah, Ericka. Have you met Rebekah?" may naglalarong ngiti sa labi nito.

She just raised her brow. "Yes, of course." nagulat ito sa sagot n'ya. "I went to the hospital when she was admit there weeks ago."

"I see," there was a venom in Laura's voice. "Nakalimutan lang siguro ikwento ni Rake."

"Really?" Ericka crossed her arms, mocking Laura. "Nakalimutan? O sinadyang kalimutan? Why do I have this feeling na sinadya n'yang hindi sabihin sa'yo? I think... He's really into me kaya ayaw n'yang nakikigulo ka sa istorya namin."

"Ako? Nakikigulo? H'wag mong paringgan ang sarili mo Ericka. Do you know this saying.. 'A relationship is meant for two but some bitches don't know how to count'." ngumisi si Laura sa kanya.

Ericka slowly clapped her hand. Palaban naman s'yang tiningnan ni Laura. "Well, I guess you don't know how to count. Next time, remind me to teach you the basic number. But for now? I'll let you know how to properly count from one to three."

Isa-isa tinaas ni Ericka ang daliri n'ya habang nagbibilang. "One bitch that deserved to die. Two bitch that I'll curse her life and then three bitch who's so desperate to be loved by someone who cannot love her the way she loves him. Sad bitch, isn't it?"

Namula ang mukha ni Laura. "Galit ka sa mga kapwa mong bitch." pilit na ngiti nito.

"Mama!" sigaw ni Rebekah.

Napahinto na naman si Ericka sa kinatatayuan n'ya. Rebekah was clasping her hand while repeating the word 'mama' again. Ngumisi sa kanya si Laura at kinuha ito sa katulong.

"By the way, Ericka... Let me introduce to you my step-daughter Rebekah." nilapit pa nito sa kanya si Rebekah at napaatras s'ya. "Baby, say hi to your step-mom."

"Erka!" she beamed loudly.

Parang nakukuryente ang katawan ni Ericka dahil sa sobrang lapit n'ya sa bata. Her heart was starting to pound fast. She's like this whenever she was near a child. It sucked to have a phobia dahil parang nalilimitahan ang mga gusto mong gawin. It freaking annoyed her, although she used some meds to prevent her body tremble. Her brain couldn't lie, she was frightened by this baby.

"Isn't she lovely?" tanong ni Laura sa kanya. "Nagmana kasi s'ya sa akin."

"Oh, so a step-mom now claiming someone's child that she looks like her? How pity."

"Only if you know." saad sa kanya nito.

"Only if I know..." lumapit s'ya ng kaunti kay Laura, trying so hard to focus on her face. "Only if I know how to kill you..." lumapit pa s'ya sa tenga nito. "Or this baby so that we're quits."
