Zira had become friends with her neighbor, Kyle. He was really sweet, and kind of shy at first. He'd usually come over to talk to her.
Zira awoke one morning to knocking on her front door. She stood up, opening the door. "Hi Zira," Kyle said, smiling politely at her. "Hey Kyle," she greeted. He noticed her automail, and looked shocked. "What happened to your arm?!" He asked.
She looked down at her right arm, then back at him. "Don't worry about it, Kyle, I'm fine," she finally said. Kyle nodded. "If you say so..."
Zira let Kyle in, and she began making him tea, making coffee for herself.
---
Sitting down, she put his cup of tea down in front of him, taking a sip of her coffee. "Where have you been lately...?" He quizzed.
"We had to go to Ishval..," she said. "Is that why you have automail...? Did something happen?"
"I've always had automail, it's just that before it looked like a normal arm," Zira said, beginning to drink the rest of her coffee.
Kyle looked surprised. "Wow," he said. "Well, I've always had it for my right arm at least..," she said, looking down at her right leg, which, of course, was automail, just as her right arm was.
Zira's dog, a large St. Bernard named Lexi, came in, trying to get onto the couch. She took up most of the space however. "She's such a cute dog," Kyle said, petting Lexi, who looked like she was in heaven. "She's spoiled, that's what she is," Zira said, laughing softly.
Kyle laughed too. "I'm sure she is, you may not seem like it at first, but you're certainly a marshmallow," he stated. "Hey!" Zira exclaimed, laughing.
Lexi pawed at Zira, like she was telling them to be quiet. The large dog climbed her way up Zira, putting her paws on Zira's face, making Kyle laugh.
"Alright, we'll be quiet Lexi," she said, smiling. Lexi, satisfied- or at least Kyle and Zira assumed- got back into her position, where she was half on Zira's lap.
"Spoiled." Kyle laughed, leaving a few minutes later. Zira sighed, looking at Lexi. "You've got a pretty good idea there, Lexi," she said, getting the large dog back to her room, going back to sleep.
