She sat there, bound by ropes, and getting beaten by Sarah and Kyle. "This won't do anything... I won't give you any-"

They heard banging on the door. They looked towards it, and Sarah, Nicole, and Kyle, prepared for whatever would come through.

The man came in, armed with a pistol. He pointed it at Nicole. "You have five seconds to tell me what the heck you three think you're doing to my daughter."

Zira stared up at him, shocked. He got in front of her, kneeling down and untying her, looking at the three of them. "You're an idiot Leo. She's not your daughter, and you know it," Nicole stated.

"Well I'm more of a parent to her than you or Toza ever were." "She deserved what she got, and she knows that." "Shut up Nicole," Leo snapped.

"How are you even..," Zira trailed off. "It's rare, but not impossible to live from a gunshot to the head," he stated, smiling back at his daughter.

Zira had found this out a long time ago... As a child, before her right arm had been severed from her body.

"You certainly haven't treated her like she's your daughter." "But she is. And so are these two. I can do whatever I want with the three of them."

Leo began shooting, but Zira took hold of his wrist, tears in eyes. "Stop," she said. Leo looked at his daughter.

"This isn't you... I want the dad that took me in... That even when I, or someone else must have angered you beyond belief, would handle it calmly, who would never resort to murder... I want the dad I knew then... And this isn't him," she said.

Leo looked down, closing his eyes as tears flowed down his cheeks. "I'm sorry," he said. He hugged her, and she hugged back.

Suddenly, they both felt something warm, against their stomachs... A warm, red, liquid...
