She sighed, standing before the man, who she felt had changed so much... He was much different than when she had known him as a child...

"What are you doing Scar?!" She exclaimed. "You know good and well what I'm doing, don't get in the way, I don't want you getting hurt," he replied.

"Well if you're going to do this... You'll have to get through me first."

"Zira, please..."

"No. You can't do this! I'm upset about what happened too, but you have to remember, it was a war... People were going to die! You can't blame the people you've gone after for that!"

"Watch me."

"How stubborn are you Scar?!" "Be quiet!" He yelled. "You're going after state alchemists, aren't you?"

He simply stayed quiet. She reached in her pocket, pulling out the watch the state alchemists had. "If you're going after State Alchemists, you're gonna have to kill me too."

He simply shook his head, like he was disappointed. "I can't believe you've joined them, after what they did... Even to L-" Zira cut him off. "You think I don't realize that Scar?! I'm as upset as you are, but I'm not going to go around killing people! It makes you no better! You might as well be just as bad as they were, killing people left and right!"

"Quiet down before someone hears you!" He said sternly. "Yeah, I'm sure you wouldn't want that, would you?!" "I suppose you're going to tell them my whereabouts..."

Zira was silent for a moment, but finally spoke up. "No." Scar was taken back by this. "I don't want to see someone else I care about hurt, or worse, killed..." With that, she walked away from him, leaving him a bit surprised.

Zira remembered this now, Scar still killing state alchemists, still at large.

She knew where he was, and where he was going, and who he was after... What am I going to do...? She wondered. She knew that keeping it a secret that she knew Scar's whereabouts and who he was after was awful, but she also knew that telling anyone his whereabouts would be bad as well...

She didn't want him to kill people, but she also didn't want him getting hurt. When she was younger, Scar's family was friends with Leo... Often, if Leo had to leave somewhere, and was unable to bring Zira, he left Zira with them... This, of course, brought her close to Scar and the rest of his family, like Leo was.

She had assumed he died in the war, at least, until she found out he had been killing state alchemists...

"You okay Zira?" She was sitting by Alphonse, who noticed her staring off into space. "Huh? Oh... Yeah, I'm fine.. I was just thinking about something... Don't worry about it..." "Okay..."

Oh Scar... What have you gotten yourself into...
