She sat in her bedroom, spinning her ring and anxiously awaiting to reply form Cal. What was taking him so long? He usually answered withing a matter of seconds. She stood up and walked around her room. She stopped when she heard something hit against her window. "What the fuck?" She went over and pulled it open only to get hit in the face with a rock. She growled, picked up the rock, and threw it back.. hard. "Ow!" Cal. "Why haven't you responded to my text Cal?" Silence. "Cal?"
Behind her Cal's ringtone began going off. Andy Beirsack was singing Rebel love son to her again. She sighed and picked up her phone, sliding her finder across the screen so that it would answer the cal. "Why can't you just talk to me? And why didn't you answer my text earlier?" "Because I don't want to wake anyone up and I was kind of a wolf... sorry.." She heard silence for a moment. "Can you come outside? I want to show you something."
She looked down at what she was wearing. A black veil brides band-T and some pajama shorts. "What kind of something?" She heard bushes on the other end then a snap. He sighed. "Well, more like somewhere." She walked to her closet. "Where do you have in mind?" "Gem.. dress warm and come down here. I want to see you and I want you to see the amazing place that I'm talking about.. I'm sure you'll adore it." She bit her lower lip, looking outside into the darkness, weighing the consequences with the experience. "Well.. there won't be any consequences if I'm not caught..." She whispered to herself. "What's that love?" Sapphire shook her head. "Nothing Cal. I'll be down in 10 minutes."
11 minutes later Sapphire snuck down the stairs wearing black sweat pants and a baggy black long sleeve shirt. She looked around but saw no sign of Cal. "Cal?.. uh.. Marco? Maaarrcoo" Suddenly she couldn't see, someone was covering her eyes. "Polo." cal whispered back in her ear, his breath causing her to shiver. She turned around and he moved his hand. "So, where are you taking me?" He didn't answer. Instead, he grabbed her hand and pulled her into the bushes.
"Is this going to become a regular thing for you?" He looked at her, obviously confused. "What?" "How many times are you going to ignore my questions Cal?" He frowned. "Sorry.. I just don't want to spoil the surprise or anything.. do you know how to change on your own yet?" She shook her head, furrowing her brows. "Change?" He nodded. "Yeah, you can control when you.. turn." She clapped her hands onto either side of her cheeks. "That's so cool! So I could like.. turn into a wolf in the middle of the park?" He looked at her with a brow raised. "You.. could.. in theory I suppose but.. it'd be best for everyone if you didn't." She dropped her hands and snapped. "Damn." He rolled his eyes again and grabbed her hand then nodded behind him. "Let's go."

Sapphire groaned. "It's not working Cal!" "Just.. try again love. Imagine yourself changing, growing." She nodded and let out a breath, closing her eyes and watching in her mind as she changed from a teenage girl to a large dog with green eyes and golden fur. When she opened her eyes she could tell she was taller. At once, she realized that she was a wolf. She barked happily and Cal jumped forward to hold her mouth closed. "Shhh! We aren't far enough into the woods for you to be able to bark like that without anyone hearing yet. We have to go in farther, okay?" Sapphire shook his hands off of her then nodded.

They ran through the woods together. Sapphire closed her eyes and took in a deep breath, enjoying the feel of the cool air as it rushed past her. She opened her eyes again and looked at Cal, admiring his black fur. She noticed that he started to slow so she did the same and looked around. A little ways farther she saw that the trees were starting to thin out. Curious, she started picking up speed again. She started to hear a slight roar and the closer she got, the louder it became. She looked at Cal but his face revealed nothing. Eagerly, she ran forward and crashed through the last line of trees.
When Sapphire looked around the clearing she saw a small pool of steaming water within a bowl of rocks, water falling into the pool from just above it. 'Gorgeous' "Extremely.." Sapphire looked back at Cal to see him looking at her. As soon as she looked his way he blinked and looked back at the water. "So... let's get in then." He walked ahead of her and up to the pool of water then looked back at her. "Well? Coming love?" Sapphire nodded.'Yeah.. um.. we're going in as wolves?' Cal nodded. "Just get in gem."
Sapphire walked up to the rocks then put her front paws on the rim of them and looked in at the water, at her reflection and sniffed. It was her.. as a human.. it was so strange and distracting that she had forgotten about jumping in. Cal came up and nudged her with his nose. "Jump in, don't be scared." Sapphire let out a breath and watched the ripples she created move across the water. Once they had dissipated she jumped in.
The water was horribly hot and it wasn't as shallow as she had earlier assumed. She swam up to the top and when she got a breath of fresh air she realized that she was human again and was wearing what she had been earlier. "Damn it Cal! How the hell would I explain my soaking wet clothes?!" Sapphire looked around but couldn't see him again. "Cal?" Bubbles came from beneath her and as soon as she looked down she flew up with Cal underneath her. She screamed and grabbed hold of Cal's face. She was sitting on his shoulders and he was laughing. "Cal!! What are you doing??" "I'm having fun love." He fell backwards and they both fell back into the water.
When they came up for air again Sapphire saw that Cal was pulling off his shirt. She blushed "What are you doing?" "Swimming, you are too. We're going all the way to the bottom of this and our clothes are only going to slow us down." He paused. "You should keep on your underwear and whatnot on though." He set out his shirt then began pulling off his pants. "Besides.. it will give your clothes a chance to dry before you head home." She shrugged. "Okay, whatever." She pulled off her shirt and threw it to the side then pulled off her pants. "How deep is it?" He looked at her. "That was fast.. uh.. it's quite a ways down, but don't worry. You'll make it gem." Sapphire nodded and looked down at the dark water beneath her. She let out a nervous laugh. "Almost looks like it goes on forever." Cal swam closer and took hold of her hands. "It's supposed to look that way gem, to keep people from jumping in. It's meant to scare people.. you aren't scared, are you?" Sapphire took in a shaky breath and looked at him. "Me? Scared? Yeah right."
