Emerald eyes.

Chapter 11 /Sapphire's P.O.V.\

He took her hand and took in a deep breath, with her doing the same, then dived down. The farther they went, the darker it became. Sapphire blocked out the darkness around her and tried to think about something else. Cal pulled on her to tell her to turn and when she did she saw nothing different. She could feel that she was running out of air and began to panic. She gave Cal's hand a squeeze and he looked back at her. She pointed to her throat and he nodded then pointed up. She looked up and saw light. Once they started swimming up, it began to feel as if they were being pulled to the top. 

As soon as Sapphire felt the cool air on her face she took in a very deep breath then sat there panting. Cal came over and he rubbed her back, also panting. "Are you ok.. gem?" She nodded then looked around and gasped. "Cal.." All around her were green rocks, glowing in the moonlight. The very pool in which she was in was made up entirely of emerald. Sapphire swam over to the edge and ran her finger across the cool stone. "How'd you find this place?" He shrugged. "I like to swim and explore so.. I know that green's your favorite color.. There's another one made up of Sapphire but I thought that you'd appreciate this one more." She nodded and turned around to throw her arms around Cal. "This place is fucking awesome!" He laughed and hugged her back. "Yeah.. let's get you home, ok love?" Sapphire nodded and took hold of his hand. "Ok." They dived under and swam back to the other pool. 

When they emerged they took a minute or so to catch their breath then they got dressed. He walked her home, both human, and when they were outside her house the sun had began to rise. He smiled and put up a finger. "One second Gem." He stuck his hand into a bush then pulled out a Mtn Dew kick start. "Here you go Love, I've kept you up all night, you need the energy." She smiled and took it. "Thanks." He nodded and brushed her hair behind her ear. "Good night kiss?" She nodded then he leaned in. They locked eyes and their lips met, a spark going off. They pulled away and Cal kissed her forehead. "See you later Gem." She smiled and waved bye as he turned and ran off.
