Chapter 13 ~Rose's P.O.V.~

James:Hi cupcake.
Rose: Hey.
James: How are you?
Rose: I'm aight, you?
James: lol. I'm cool.
James: Want to hang out?
Rose: Sure, where?
James: "My place ;)

Rose dropped her phone and just stared at it for a moment before it went off again. She picked it up

James: Jkjk. Sizzler?
Rose: Lol, ok, sounds swaggy
James: Can we call this a date?
Rose: Yeah
James: Ok. I'm going to go get ready. See you there in 30 mins?
Rose: ok

Rose jumped off her bed, leaving her phone there then ran to the bathroom where she wiped off her makeup. She went to her dresser and started digging through the drawers. She found a pink sun dress, pulled it on, then went back to the bathroom to put on some pink eye shadow and clear lip gloss. She put on mascara and eyeliner onto her upper eyelid. She ran down the stairs and pulled on some flats. She looked at the time and realized that she still had 5 minutes till she was expected to be there. "Alright.. ok.." She looked around and flattened out her dress then headed back up the stairs to her parent's room.

When she walked in she saw her parents laying on the bed watching TV. Her mom looked up. "Ooh, why are we all dressed up?" "Because I was asked to accompany this really swaggy guy named James to dinner." Her mom smiled. "A daaate?" Rose nodded and checked the time. "I have to go now or else I'll be late." "Ok Rose, have fun!" Rose nodded "Ok, I think I will." She smiled and waved. "Bye."

Rose turned to her smaller form and sped to Sizzler. She became human again right beside the restaurant where no one could see her. She straightened out her dress again then took a deep breath and tried to calm herself.

She walked into Sizzler and looked for James while fiddling with the fabric of her dress. She finally spotted him waving his arm around, trying to get her attention. She smiled and looked down while walking to the table he was sitting at. When she she got to him she looked up to see that James was holding the chair out for her and smiling. Rose sat down and he pushed her in before sitting down himself.

The waitress walked over a few minutes later and smiled. "Hi, I'm Carol, and I'm going to be your server this evening." She handed them the menus and pulled out her pen and a notepad. "Would you like something to drink while you're deciding on your meal?" Susan tapped her chin for a moment. "Uh, I'll have a Dr. Pepper please." The waitress nodded and wrote it down then turned to James. "Sprite." Carol nodded again. "Alright, I'll be right back with your drinks then." She walked off and Rose began looking the menu over.

When Carol came back she set down their drinks and took their orders before leaving again. James tore the top off of his straw wrapper then blew the rest of it at Rose's face. She scrunched up her face and laughed then did the same to him before sticking the straw into her drink and subconsciously stirring while looking around.

"Pretty boring, yeah?" Rose looked up at James and swallowed."Maybe a little.." He nodded and looked around. "Hmm..." Rose tilted her head curiously. "Why are you 'Hmm' ing?" He looked at her again and smiled. "Looking for something fun cupcake." She nodded and looked down, smiling slightly at the name.

The food cam and they began eating. "Did you think of anything fun yet?" He shrugged and cut into his meat. "Eating is pretty fun. " She nodded. "Yeah, eating's fun." He took a drink of his sprite. "How many games are you going to want to play?" Rose stopped eating and furrowed her brows. "Games?" He nodded and took another bite of his meat. "Yeah, thought I'd take you bowling... sound fine to you?" She nodded. "That sounds swaggy." He nodded back. "Awesome."

"Try it like this cupcake." James said as he stood behind her trying to show her how to go about throwing the ball. She bit her lower lip and furrowed her brows. "Ok.." She threw the ball with his arm behind hers, giving her more strength. She watched as the ball quickly rolled down the glossy path. -CRACK!-

Rose threw her arms up. "Yes! Yay! Strike!" She turned around and hugged James tightly. "You helped me get a strike!" James laughed and Rose realized how dorky she was being then pulled back. "I mean, that was totally dope, thanks." James laughed. "Not a problem, I mean.. I got a hug from a pretty girl out of it so..." She blushed and looked down, biting her lower lip. "Um.. thanks. Y-your turn.."

James smiled. "Rose?" She looked up at him. "Yes?" He brushed her hair behind her ear. "I don't want to bowl anymore.." He looked into her eyes and started leaning in. Rose gulped and closed her eyes as their lips were less than an inch apart. But they never met. Instead, Rose heard a scream and felt a cold liquid hit her arms. She opened her eyes to see James looking at her with wide eyes. "I've... I've been hit.."

James turned around and Rose peered out from around him to see 2 girls and 1 boy, the boy was standing beside a brunette girl and a blonde was across from them. Immediately it occurred to Rose what had happened. The boy had cheated on the blonde. Rose frowned "What a dick.." James looked at her form the corner of his eye. "Who?" Rose looked at him then back to the 3 who were now all yelling. "That guy... he cheated.. is cheating on.. the blonde with the brunette." James nodded. "Oh, is that why I have soda all over my back? The blonde tried to throw her drink at him but he dodged it?" Rose nodded and James cracked his knuckles. "Alright then." Rose looked at James. "What are you doing?" James smirked. "Gonna teach that pig a lesson."

Rose watched as James walked over to the guy and tapped him on the shoulder then gestured to the girls. When the guy nodded with an angry expression, James gave him a right hook to the face and knocked him to the ground. The guy got up and tried to swing back but James dodged and put one foot out in front of the guy, causing him to fall down again. James put one foot on the guys back then leaned down and whispered something to him. The guy cried out in pain then yelled: "Elizabeth!I'm sorry for cheating!" James pushed down onto his back again, causing the guy to scream again before standing up and walking over to Rose. "C'mon then cupcake, I think it's time we leave." They switched out their shoes then walked out, not bothering to look back at the trio.

When they got to Rose's door she sighed and nodded, looking up at her window. "Tonight was pretty dope. Thanks for it all..." James nodded and bit his lower lip, lightly tapping on his jeans. Rose frowned. "James are you alright?" James shrugged. "There's something I really want to do." Rose tilted her head. "What do you want to do?" James smirked and put his hand on Rose's cheek then leaned in "Something that i've been trying to do since I met you." Once he said that, he closed the distance and their lips met. Rose smiled into the kiss and loosely wrapped her arms around his neck before they pulled away and she bit her lower lip, blushing. He smiled and rubbed his nose against hers with his eyes still closed. "Goodnight cupcake." Then he was gone, and replaced with a small light that flew away. Rose put her hand on her door handle. "Goodnight James." Rose walked inside and up to the bathroom then wiped off her makeup and went to her room to change into her pajamas. She layed down and sighed, closing her eyes and drifting into her dreams.
